Bocas Tacos & Tequila: Canggu's Spot for Killer Tacos and Friendly Vibes Bocas Tacos & Tequila in Canggu, Bali, quickly became my favorite spot for a taste of Mexico. The food was fantastic, but the friendly and informative service really stole the show.

First things first – the burritos! Packed with flavor and fresh ingredients, it was one of the best I've had in Bali. They definitely know how to make a delicious and satisfying burrito here.

But Bocas isn't just about the food. Their margaritas are phenomenal – some of the best I've encountered on the whole island. They were perfectly balanced and refreshing, the perfect complement to the tacos.

The wait staff at Bocas truly made the experience special. They were friendly and courteous, always with a smile. They even went above and beyond, sharing interesting tidbits about Balinese culture and recommending some attractions to check out. It was a nice touch that they appreciated my attempt at thanking them in the local language and replied in kind.

For those who like a bit of people-watching, Bocas offers bar seating facing the street. It's a great spot to grab a margarita, enjoy some delicious tacos, and soak up the lively Canggu atmosphere.

In my opinion, this is the best place to satisfy a craving for Mexican style flavors in all of Canggu.

The drinks are slow, and the only thing I advise against is the current status of chicken (tasty, yes, but cubed bits that lack Mexican flavor.)

If I had to narrow down a log-line to describe this place, it’d be: A refined cousin of Taco Bell went to Bali and really found himself.

I mean that in the best way. The handmade tortillas are tasty. The crunchwrap is bingeworthy. Even the jackfruit tacos are killer. The drinks take about 700 hrs, but are worth it (for two of us, double shots each and as little sugar as possible). Service is wonderful.

For me to return multiple times to a “taco joint” that isn’t anywhere near Mexico, is unheard of.

The service was good, and the food was alright, but as a huge enthusiast of Mexican cuisine, I hold it to a VERY high standards. Overall, the experience was rather average, and the prices leaned towards the higher side compared to other places in Canggu. The cocktails were great—something that isn’t always easy to find in Bali. Decent quesadilla with good selection of dips, however the tacos..not my taste- something about the dough that just doesn't sit right with me.
