Sewage Water and Mango Juice! This was our experience last night.
Last night my husband and I, stopped in at Feel Good Cafe for some drinks, before heading to our spa appointment. I decided to go with the Mango Juice and my husband with the Original Lemonade.
What we got was sewage water and sugar. When we were waiting for our drinks we both had commented on there being a sewage smell in the air, around the cafe. Probably a burst pipe somewhere we said. None the less, never did we imagine we’d be subjected to drinking it.
As the drinks arrived at the table. I picked up my mango juice, and took a sip. As the drink went down my throat the SMELL AND TASTE hit me hard. I was drinking sewage water. I almost threw up right on the spot.
Obviously the chef or bartender has mixed the mango with tap water when blending, and that tap water had been affected by the smelly water in the area. It was disgusting. It took a lot for me not to throw up at the table. My husband too tasted the drink (unfortunately) and agreed that something was most definitely wrong.
I immediately called the waitress and told her that the drink smelt and tasted like toilet and that I was sending it back. She did take the drink back - my husband SAW HER smell it herself, and I ordered another drink.
Here’s where it gets worse. Even after my complaint and the waitress herself smelling and replacing the drink - They served another table in front of us 4 OF THE SAME DRINK, with the same problem.
We watched as immediately the table called the waitress and returned their drinks, all of them complaining of the same thing. It was horrifying that they’d actually served the same disgusting and health dangerous drink again.
Sewage water and water that has been tainted is EXTREMELY dangerous, and can put someone in hospital. This is shocking behaviour from this establishment. My stomach was actually a bit upset later that evening.
Thankfully this morning, I am doing okay. Besides the horrendous experience of drinking sewage water.
We will not come back...

🥐There were great reviews about croissants in this place, so next I'll be back for them 😋
Of the pluses and little things that others lack so much: excellent serving - such dishes are pleasant to eat 👍🏻 despite the moderately salted dishes 👍🏻 they served salt and pepper immediately to the table, I didn’t even have to ask (and in many places in Bali you have to look for salt that they never brought at the request) 👍🏻 there are paper napkins on the tables👍🏻 great playlist with cause music 👍🏻 attentive and prepared menu staff 👍🏻 the founding fathers of the cafe often come here themselves, and control the quality and do not mind eating such delicious food themselves 👍🏻
It's no secret that there is high competition in Canggu, which encourages teams from different establishments to strive for the best, and the guys from this cafe try and put their soul into their work, for which they...
Read moreKumpir Creme Cheese Salmon.
I love this dish! A big baked potatoe filled with vegetables and salty salmon. All mixed in creme cheese. I was so close to give it 5 stars, but unfortunately there is inconsistancy from day to day. When the right person, who cares, is preparing the potatoe it's pure perfection. But then SADLY, there is this person working there that just don't care, mixing only half of the potatoe and it looks messy. The same dish but in a Pita bread is also very fulfilling. Looking forward to taste the waffles.
Photo of the day when the Kumpir was "messy" . I will still keep...
