I came here as an emergency stop for fresh watermelon juice to take away, I ordered x2 large and asked for them to strain it so it’s not 50% powdery fibre… if you know you know. Their version of straining was holding a random knife across the blender as they poured… of course I asked them to strain it properly because it was 40% powder. When they did it properly like I asked, it became x1 large cup instead of x2 (exactly why I ask for strained if not cold pressed). The waiter was then huffing and slamming things about, I had to ask him to dry the blender parts because he’d just rinsed them under the tap water and was ready to add watermelon to the ‘tap water infused’ blender?! That p*ssed him off even though it’s me that would be ill from it not him. I’ve never seen so much attitude for giving a customer what they asked for. Then I was made to feel guilty about asking for them to strain it because they used more watermelon for my order…. Well tough. I paid for x2 large sizes and I don’t want half being non drinkable fibre powder. They don’t clean anything properly either, wipe down only, the bar and counter is soooo sticky it’s never seen disinfectant spray and a clean cloth. Was going to eat there tomorrow but I’ll stick to my reliable rule of 4.6 reviews and above. Don’t do half a job and expect people to just put up...

One of the happiest finds of Pererenan - affordable, cozy and a very welcoming menu for gluten free and vegan. We had brunch here and I did not expect so much given last time I’ve had 2 meetings and just kept getting snack. This time I ordered food and thoroughly impressed. I had sweet potato fritters and compared to others who just fry it, they mashed it and made it into patty style. My egg was done exactly as how I requested, and portion was big for the price. I had Freddy espresso also which is quite refreshing and strong enough. My bf got the beef burger which also turned out superb for him. My eyes are on the gluten free cookie which I shall go back for next time. Staff is amazing. Only one thing for management to address — toilets! I was ready to stay all day, but cannot understand how 2 toilets they had, were both broken. I asked staff where I can go they just said sorry.

Highly recommend: grilled four cheese toastie (they have gluten free option too!).

Unfortunate. I actually like this place and it's my go-to in Pererennan, but my most recent order was terrible.

Had an eggs Benedict - first off: Horrible excuse for an eggs Benny; this should never be done on hard toasted sourdough - I made a gamble on that as I did see it on the menu, but I lost that bet. An eggs Benny I should be able to cut the egg, have it drip over the rest, and the cut off a square and eat. With this sad excuse I needed to eat my egg separately, my toast separately, my bacon separately, and then the rest is just some rocket flailing all over the place. What's the point of ordering this all together if I need to dismantle it before I take a bite.

Second: Ordered a beef patty on the side medium rare and it came back barely cooked in the middle. Had to send it back twice. How are you cooking these things?!

Guess I'll stick with other menu items. Pretty disappointed, I don't go out often anymore and was really looking...
