A Morning Gem at Zali – A Lebanese Breakfast to Remember in Bali
Never got bored with this place as I have visited here multiple times between pererenan and uluwatu one.
Zali is one of those rare gems in Bali where everything just feels right — especially in the morning. Nestled in a beautifully lush setting, the venue is bathed in soft morning sunlight, surrounded by greenery that instantly sets a calm and refreshing tone. It’s the kind of place where breakfast feels like a gentle, uplifting ritual — memorable, pretty, and deeply satisfying.
The food speaks for itself. Zali brings vibrant Lebanese flavors to life with extraordinary freshness and taste. Their Big Breakfast Package is a standout: a wholesome and generous spread of creamy hummus, grilled halloumi cheese, labneh, and a colorful array of fresh fruits and vegetables. Each bite bursts with flavor and feels nourishing, making it one of the most fulfilling breakfast experiences on the island.
And the treats don’t stop there — their smoothies and lattes are beautifully crafted, and the banana chocolate pancake is the perfect sweet indulgence to start the day on a happy note.
What truly makes the experience exceptional is the warm and attentive service, especially from Fitri. Even when she’s handling the morning shift alone, she serves with genuine kindness, a bright smile, and remarkable efficiency. Her attentiveness and grace set the tone for a beautiful morning, adding that personal touch that makes guests feel cared for.
Zali isn’t just a breakfast spot — it’s a place you’ll want to return to, again and again. For soulful food, beautiful surroundings, and heartfelt service, Zali delivers an experience that’s...

Because of Zali, Lebanon has made it to my list of places I must visit.
I’ve been living in the neighborhood within a 2 minute walking distance to Zali for nearly 7 weeks now and I’ve visited 3 times so far.
My first experience was with friends. I ordered the lentil soup and tea because I wasn’t feeling the best. I ate, left my friends eating and ran to a virtual meeting. This was maybe 4 weeks ago. 🫣
I decided to come back and check it out alone yesterday. I started with the hummus and minced beef. My server was kind enough to allow me to try the meat before I committed to it on my hummus and that’s when I ordered.

The hummus is freaking amazing and I’ve had some spectacular hummus. I ordered 2! A little indulgent yeah? Totally worth it.
I again had the lentil soup which was good. It fills that need of comfort food for me.
I went to my accommodation and bragged to the staff about the hummus. I also made a selfish offer to bring some for them to try.
Well I’m back and it’s because of the hummus. Today I went out of my lentil soup comfort zone and tried the Saj with chicken. It did not disappoint. I over-recommend. 🤯
That’s if you actually like flavor in your food.
Between the minced beef hummus yesterday, the amazing live music they play… And today the hummus - no beef and Saj with Chicken! I vowed to give this place the review it deserves. It deserves 100 ✨

Read moreBali, Indonesia 🇮🇩 is our third country / place on our travel list, after Nepal 🇳🇵 and then Thailand 🇹🇭. After an amazing, relaxing day (18/12/2023) at the beach club Vue LV8 we went for a ride in the area and have stumbled upon an authentic Lebanese Restaurant 🇱🇧 - Zali.
Walking into the place, being greeted by very friendly staff, we were instantly seduced by its beautiful cosiness and relaxing atmosphere.
As already mentioned, having travelled already 2 countries prior to arriving to Indonesia, we had the opportunity to dine out in many places. The great thing to note about Zali is that the staff leaves you just the right amount of time to choose the dishes you desire from the menu. Many places (and often) in Asia, you get rushed but not here.
Our first dish was the Mezzeh Platter 2. The 5 unique dips with the rolled, crispy saj were sumptuously delicious. Accompanied by the classic refreshing beverage - Ayran.
The main course was composed of Chicken 🐓 Musakhan with its silky onions, served on a bed of saj bread along with a Grilled Platter of beef, chicken and veggie skewers.
A true, authentic experience of the Lebanese cuisine on the island 🏝️ of...
