During my time in Bali, I stayed at a different resort because the exquisite CAPELLA hotel was fully booked for Chinese New Year. Eager to celebrate the occasion in a memorable way, I contacted the hotel’s reception and was thrilled to secure a dinner reservation for the 29th of January.
When I arrived, I was welcomed into a warm and beautifully decorated space, where they had crafted a special lunar menu just for the celebration. I had mentioned my dietary preferences, emphasizing that while I don’t eat meat, I do savor seafood and fish. The talented chef graciously accommodated my request, creating a meal that felt personalized just for me.
The meal began with a stunningly presented appetizer that set the tone for the night. The soup was a sublime creation; rich and flavorful, it was a delightful way to start the evening. Following that, I was served an exquisite seafood dish adorned with a variety of vibrant condiments, each bringing a unique dimension to the fresh, succulent flavors. Every bite was a true testament to the chef's skill, and the presentation was nothing short of artful.
While I was thoroughly enjoying the food, I couldn’t help but notice that a white wine served as a bottle Sauvignin Blanc was missing from the menu. Nonetheless, I savored three generous glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, which complemented my meal perfectly.
Having spent a fair amount of time there, I took the opportunity to engage with several waitstaff. Their warmth and eagerness to assist were heartening; they were friendly and professional, making me feel right at home. A special shoutout to Pee-wee, who took exceptional care of me throughout the evening, ensuring that all my needs were met.
As I dined, I couldn't help but be captivated by the stunning views surrounding the restaurant. The combination of beautiful scenery and delectable food was enchanting. However, what truly elevated the experience was the company I found in the staff; being there alone allowed me to forge connections and share in their enthusiasm for being part of such a beautiful resort.
If you ever have the chance to stay at the resort or simply treat yourself to a meal— lunch, dinner, or breakfast—I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so. Congratulations! Thank you for a wonderful Lunar Year...
Read moreWe’re in Ubud and just found Capella Ubud on our social media. My boyfriend and I went there around 5 PM, we not even staying overnight, just for dinner. And OMG… the service? 10,000/10. If I could give 10 stars, I totally would.
From the security, receptionist, restaurant? everyone was SUPER NICE. But BIG shoutout to Bli who served us…(Bli Suwandi) he was VERY VERY VERY GOOD! Hands down the best service I’ve ever had in my life.
The food? Super tasty, huge portions, and totally worth the price. Bli even surprised us with free hot chocolate + marshmallows, and brought mosquito repellent. Like seriously… how sweet can people be? I almost never write reviews, but for this place I just have to.
I’ll keep coming back here again and again, and if you’re in Ubud, you NEED to try, nope you MUST. Stay here if you can, but even just coming for lunch or dinner is already worth it.
And don’t get me started on the vibes… the pool, the interior, the whole place is just GORGEOUS.
