Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku - Petitenget Seminyak — Restaurant in Bali

I don't usually share bad experience since I understand doing business is hard but I look at other low star comments and see lot people have similar issue, therefore I think I need to bring this up too.

To keep it simple, we got food poisoning from eating here 2 days ago. When the food come, we subtly know something was wrong, we order tipat kuah and everything is cold and hard, from the chicken to the egg etc, since there is no off smell and this place is quite popular, we brush it off and eat anyway, think it just our bad day to get cold food. This is the only place me and my boyfriend eat together that day and by the evening my boyfriend getting diarrhea and high fever. I also get a bad stomaches and diarrhea but since I eat less than my boyfriend and not even finish the food, my symptom is lesser than him.

This place have lot of branch and we not get any issue with the other but surely management need to check this branch to ensure the qualities of the food. We are not foreigner with "weak stomach" that can not stand spices, we are locals and still get this bad diarrhea from the food means it's that bad.

The servers take my order correctly but I thought it's still unprofessional for lot of them to gather together and talk loudly near to the customers spaces, we even can hear some gossips they talk about.

Since my mom is a big fan of Balinese Chicken Rice, we decided to try Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku that located in Petitenget Seminyak area. They have many seating area to accommodate many customers. And, it's pretty surprising for me, since they're providing car parking area, there isn't many restaurant that have pretty large car park area (this one deserves plus points from me). Back to the foods, we ordered Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Spesial (steamed white rice with Ayam Betutu, minced chicken satay, shredded chicken with spicy red sauce, steamed tea egg, sautéed chicken gizzard, steamed vegetables in peanut sauce salad, peanut, dry fried chicken, chopped chili condiment, lettuce and cucumber served with Kedewatan style chicken gravy. Despite the local legend status of Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku, our family's experience fell short of expectations. The spiciness of the food, notably the chili, proved overpowering for my family's taste buds. Unfortunately, my wife couldn't finish her meal due to the intense heat.

Additionally, the fried chicken served to our daughter was disappointingly tough, lacking the desired tenderness. While I acknowledge the brand's prominence and its multiple branches across Bali, my personal observation is that the chili's excessive spiciness may have overshadowed the nuanced flavors of the accompanying side dishes.
