Pathetic Staff. Super Rude and ill-mannered Bartenders. No food arrangements at night if you don't have a table. We always wanted to go to this place for partying after hearing lot about it. But the experience was very unpleasant with the staff. We went here at 9 pm.
Initially all the tables were booked so we decided to enter , stand , eat, drink and dance . We paid an entry of 350000 Rp for two people. And we were told that we can redeem this with any two drinks. 1 each person. As soon as we went inside at the bar and tried to call the bar staff, they were firstly unresponsive and then one of them came to us. We told him that we want to redeem two drinks first. He gave us the menu and we chose . He started making drinks and gave us a huge bill. We asked him that this is redeemable right , so why he is charging seperately. Then he immediately got angry and showed us another menu of redeeming which just had 3 drink option. He yelled at us that why did we choose other drink options . We told him that he only passed the menu to choose. But he kept yelling at us and passed sarcasm. He snatched the menu and acted like we are beggars. He literally showed his middle finger and told us very impolitely to move from there and go stand at different place as we didn't have a table. He refused to take our orders.
We were not from this country so we thought not to get indulged in this behaviour and not to spoil our mood . So we ignored his rude behaviour and shifted to another side . When we tried to order something from other bar staff, he kept walking in between and tried to stop him as well and giving us a bad look ,staring at us in anger continuously. Somehow we managed to ignore all this nonsense and kept calm and ordered other few drinks from other staff. Again ,when we went to the dance floor , it went slippery because somebody spilled the drink on the floor . We told the staff member to clean it as anyone could fall. But he showed attitude and refused to take action. Also, when we asked that if we can order some food , so staff told us that no table, no food . We couldn't order any food as we didn't have the table , so we were hungry for that night. The dance vibe was good , but this staff behaviour disappointed us very much. I won't recommend this place to anybody,...

Read moreBlimey, what an absolute hoot Motel Mexicola turned out to be! Me and my mates rocked up expecting some decent grub and a few bevvies, but we ended up having a proper laugh—complete with the surreal sight of people dancing on the dining tables like it was the last night of their holiday (which, for some, it probably was).
The place is a riot of colour, with neon lights and kitschy decor that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a Mexican fiesta after one too many tequilas. And speaking of tequila—the cocktails here are top-notch. We put away more than a few margaritas, and by the end of the night, even we were tempted to climb atop the furniture (though we resisted… barely).
The food was proper tasty—loads of flavour, generous portions, and just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting. The tacos went down a treat, though by the time the music really kicked in, we were more focused on dancing than eating.
The staff were sound, too—friendly, quick, and clearly used to dealing with rowdy groups like ours. They didn’t even bat an eyelid at the table-dancing chaos, which says a lot!
All in all, if you’re after a meal that turns into a full-blown party, Motel Mexicola is the spot. Just mind your head if you decide to join the table-top conga line. Cheers for a belting night!
5/5 – Would absolutely do it again (and maybe brave the...
