A meal to remember at Glosis Restaurant in Bandung

Sometimes you forget the name, but the taste stays with you. Different menu, same unforgettable flavor. This was my experience when I visited the newly relocated Glosis Restaurant in Bandung. I had high hopes of rediscovering the delicious Western cuisine I had longed for.

Upon arrival, we were presented with a menu that had changed from the last time I visited. Undeterred, we decided to try the 427-gram Striploin steak. It was an impressive sight, as the steak was cooked right in front of us, heightening our anticipation. Cooked to a perfect medium well by the chef at our table, the steak was tender and flavorful. It was served with side dishes of cheesy cauliflower, sautéed vegetables, and fries. This dish alone was outstanding!

Next, we ordered the Pasta Don Pedro. This pasta dish, subtly infused with wine, was aromatic and creamy. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, and the cream sauce clung perfectly to the pasta without turning into soup. I loved it! It was perfectly balanced and utterly delightful.

To our surprise, a complimentary dish arrived, courtesy of the chef in response to our Instagram post. We were treated to a hamburg steak with pasta and sautéed vegetables, completing our meal wonderfully.

So there are 3 restos in 1 building. I tried menu from Glosis and Five monkeys. Glosis has special discount every Tuesdays, might be worth trying.

Don Pedro is a white sauce-based paste with sliced beef and mushroom, the meat is tender, they give generous amount of parmesan, overall it is delicious pasta. Pour some chilies if you like to spice up. The grilled chicken is OK but for my taste it needs to be grilled longer to eliminate the smell. The fries that come with it are good tho. They need to tone down the salt on their fries. Quesadilla is good. Supreme pizza is worth the price. The topping is OK however the dough is not to my liking.. Avocado juice has good texture however too sweet for my taste.

The double wagyu smash burger from Five Monkey is gooood. It should be good for that price. I thought the burger size is small but actually it fills you up good although they dont come with fries.

I forgot to try the strawberry chocolate mousse from Lula..maybe later.

The staffs are friendly and cosiderate, decoration is OK, services are quick. Toilets are clean, just need to refill the aromatherapy diffuser inside.
