Read moreNara Park in Bandung presents itself as an upmarket suburban destination with a variety of restaurants, lounges, and coffee houses within an expansive park. During my visit on a long holiday, I found that there were plenty of parking spaces available, although some may require parking a bit far from the actual destination. However, the park offers a shuttle bus service from the car park, which is convenient.
The main attraction of Nara Park is its diverse range of restaurants, allowing visitors to choose from various cuisines. This freedom to order from different establishments can be both a blessing and a curse. Unfortunately, during my visit, the downside became apparent. As a family, we ordered from multiple restaurants, but the consequence was that our food arrived at different times. This resulted in a rather frustrating experience, as some of us had to wait for an extended period, and we even had to cancel one dish due to the excessive waiting time of nearly an hour.
Despite this issue, the overall ambiance and atmosphere of Nara Park were pleasant. The park itself is spacious, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. Moreover, the fact that the park is wheelchair and baby stroller friendly is commendable. It ensures that all visitors, regardless of their mobility needs, can enjoy the facilities without...
Read moreHands down, best eating experience during my visit to this city.. when i say experience, i meant the whole package.. the food, the ambience, the staffs, basically everything..
Ordered Truffle Steak and Steak De Porto from Porto Bistreau. A familiar name if you’re familiar with Gading Serpong area. I’ve tried their steaks there, they’re awesome. but here! the ambience enhanced everything.. especially with the perfect architectural and interior design combined with Bandung’s afternoon rain.
The meat was great, the sides were in the perfect portion.. they also cooked the meat the way we ordered.. With the price they offer, I’m going to call “money well spent”
The only turn down was kids running around our table.. we wouldn’t be bothered if they were running in the park area.. they were running on the second floor dining area.. I told one of the waitress that we were bothered, she did nothing.. I think she’s not accustomed to tell families that other customers were bothered by their children running around the dining area It would be nice if the staffs could handle them, or at least the waiters/waitresses could tell their parents that other customers were bothered.. But hey! I wouldn’t let that deduct the stars.. so 5...
