The food: i think I chose the wrong dish, since I don't like half-boiled eggs, and the food was including egg pouch. so my review gonna be biased. Yes i dont like the menu. But luckily the chicken was tasty and not greasy and the rice was soft. Also the portion is big. I'm full with that one bowl of rice. The drink: i forgot the taste, which means it's not so special. The price: kinda pricey but worth the ambiance, the interior, and the view. The interior: super cool!!!! For ghibli fans gonna be lucky to visit this cafe. Many restaurant/cafe owner doesnt even try hard to study the culture of their theme's cafe, so sometimes it could imply they doesnt appreciate those particular culture. But this cafe was far from that statement i said before. The cafe owner def love ghibli from their bottom heart. But since I am an artist myself, i should say that some of the interior uses are not official ghibli accessories, it means they violet the copyright, sth doesnt wise for fans to do to the artist. anyway, the natural lighting shines in every room and corner. I myself particularly like that kind of room, full of sunbeams, waking up vitality, rly suitable for working and studying. The room is also full of plants, making the ambiance fresh to our body. The service: friendly.
Conclusion: i def gonna visit this anytime i...
Read moreWas super excited to know that there's a Ghibli-themed café in Bandung. Must say that the decoration is on point even from the entrance. Lots of Ghibli paintings, figures are installed. There's also a gachapon (didn't have the time to check it out). They also have 3 Ghibli-inspired menus for Rp60k each. When I came, many menus weren't available due to short in stocks. But still glad that I got to experience the Ghibli world here. They have outdoor seating at the back side of the building which has nice under-the-tree seats with rocks as chairs and tables. There's also 2nd floor seating area. But I was lucky to be able to get the long table right across the Ghibli mirror near the entrance; although, it could be quite shiny during daylight. Food-wise: tasted just fine. Price-wise: quite pricey for snacking only. We ordered Calcifer's Breakfast (2.5/5, the egg was still a bit too raw to be called half-fried, the toast was really hard to bite), French Fries (5/5), Seasalt Latte (3/5, too sweet, barely taste the seasalt), Strawberry Smoothie (4/5), Chocolate Cold Brew (4.5/5), and Coffee Beer (5/5, brought back childhood memories as my mom said). Payment is available...
Read moreIt’s an okay place unlike its branding from the social media.
Interested visiting this cafe because their branding as Ghibli cafe. Yes, indeed they own Ghibli property and even played Ghibli movie. They also provide a Ghibli menu which sadly not being displayed so apparent to the customer. This is the point where I am disappointed because the cashier doesn’t have sufficient product knowledge to let the customer know that they serve Ghibli menu. I mean, I came here for its Ghibli concept.
I found out the hidden menu later after I made payment for my order. I ordered Gyudon and coffee. Taste wise is okay and pretty much edible. I had no complain about their ordinary menu. The coffee also tastes smooth just right to my liking. The cafe is spacious so although it’s full with a lot of youngsters, you can still find spot to sit.
The price is also affordable probably because they serve youngsters aka sophomore rather than working adult. And they accept cashless payment. But once again, I have to highlight the insufficient product knowledge of the...
