Update 1/5/2024: I used to be so impressed with the flavor. The beef zurich is still good. But everything else is questionable... Their wagyu burger slider is not actually wagyu but local beef. The beef is bulgogi style. And it looks nothing like the picture. The waiter did not ask for the doneness of the steak I wanted. It came almost well done. In the end, I ask them to replace the steak. Which they obliged. But one side of the replacement steak is still pink. So, they have to correct it twice. According to an advertising banner in the carpark, which we saw after leaving the restaurant, we can get 1 mojito for any steak. Well, we bought 2 steaks and No mojitos. The beef for gulai is tough, even though the gulai gravy is nice. The chicken karaage also has different batter than the one in the menu... 🤦🏻♂️
The chicken with thai sauce (reunion sauce) looks different from the pic also and is too sweet and sour for me.
Goodness. The food looks nothing like the menu.
When it comes to flavor, this restaurant is high up there with the very best of them in Bandung. And it is not just one dish that tasted that good, almost all of the 6 dishes I ordered are pleasantly flavorful. Very impressed. The owners have a good sense of taste. HOWEVER, the rice dishes are ruined because the rice are so dry and tough, almost crackly, none of my family members can finish them. Are these left over rice from the day before that are scraped out of the rice cooker walls? One can only guess. Also the drumstick of the roast chicken is a little tough and doesn't look fresh. The flavor of the sauce, however, is muy bien. I could imagine, if Reunion uses the same rice Sederhana padang restaurant in Pasteur uses to serve their rice dishes, I would be compelled to give it 5 stars.
Update: went to reunion again and found myself similarly impressed with the flavor of their dishes. And they have improved on the quality of their rice dishes. I don't find them a problem anymore. What I find problematic was the waiters repeatedly (2 times) asking me whether they can take the dessert (chocolate lava cake out) out to the table, while I was still half way through my main dishes. I told them to keep the dessert till I am done with the main dishes TWICE and that I wanted the chocolate cake warm and the ice cream not melted then. Unfortunately, when it was time for the dessert to be served, they took the entire thing out of the freezer. I have such an experience before, so the first thing I checked was the temperature of the cake. Sure enough, it was cold. I asked them to reheat the cake and it seems that they may have replaced the ice cream with a new one because the first one was melted. This is good. Unfortunately, the chocolate lava cake becomes just chocolate cake because the lava "caked up" thanks to repetitive heating. But I won't deduct too many stars from this. Please note that if a customer wants their dessert served last, they mean it and they likely expect it to be served the way the dessert is meant to be served (cakes warm and ice cream intact).
And they also forgot to ask about the preferred doneness of the steak and it came...
Read moreThis restaurant for me is kind of underated.. imho this restaurant have great quality of their meat and great taste of the foods. For the price i think it is reasonable and worth with the quality of their food and they are so strict with covid protocol (touchless lift button, sensor stand temperature checker, they also have a handwash right after you out from lift, sanitize and sterilized cutlery)
Place : spacious, easy to find and access, have a enough space for parking, you can choose for smoking and non smoking area. You can also book this place for small party or if you are want to confess to your loved one..(this resto ambience is just right) and the view from this resto is similar like dago pakar resto i mean you can see such a beautyfull city light at night and great view of bandung in the daytime
Food : you can choose variety of menu here from western, japanese and indonesian (my fav is western) the yakiniku and teppan set here is one of favourite but my choice are caesar salad (so fresh and the chiken taste is incredible and you can request for the amount of mayo here) meltique tenderloin, try medium well and trust me you can ask for more (if you have enough budget because this one is pricy) chiken/beef zurich meltique grilled yakiniku you can eat it for 2 person with very reasonable price
You should try their apple pie and brownies, they have a balanced taste.. good presentation also yummy
All in all i can say this restaurant Place ☆☆☆☆☆ Food ☆☆☆☆☆ Price ☆☆☆☆☆ Toilet ☆☆☆☆☆ Safe for...

Location: 4/5 (Outdoor lift has a bit of an issue) Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Drinks: 4/5 Environment: 5/5 Price: 4/5
Pros: Very helpful waiter (didn't asked for his name but I know I should have). Delicious mushroom cream soup, comes with a thin bread crisps oh my it's one of the best soups I've tasted during the trip so far! Love the view from the balcony, if you're lucky you might be able to see some airplanes 😉 Drinks are food! I mean, we didn't order any specialty drinks but it's good for its price with the view. Herb Butter Roasted Chicken is a MUST for me! Meat is tender, juicy and not dry! Comes with a mild curry-liked sauce, yummy!
Cons: The only cons I could remember is the lift outdoor, the buttons are overly sensitive and might end up stopping on all levels. But hey it's nothing to do with the restaurant itself, just the building maintenance needs to step up its game.
Summary: Definitely recommend to anyone coming to this area! And if I'm ever around I'll definitely be back! With the balcony view, highly recommended for dinner...
