Upnormal Coffee Roasters BEC — Restaurant in Bandung City

I really love Upnormal's coffee, it suits the locals very well. I only ordered the double shot iced americano. The coffee has that signature strong earthiness like dark chocholate, a little bit bitter, but i also taste a little bit of fruitiness comes through. My guess was that they use robusta coffee or a blend of robusta and arabica.

I also ordered french fries as a snack. The fries itself is nothing special, tasted like a store-bought frozen fries. However, the saviour here is the 'Smoky Sultan' dipping sauce. The best way to describe it is it's like a smoky-slightly sweet BBQ sauce but the smokiness is off the charts, it's so good 👌

I think it is one of the best coffee shops if you want to study/work. The indoor section is comfortable enough for studying long hours; not too noisy or crowded. The balcony section is also nice if you want to smoke. Most importantly, they serve not only drinks and light meal, as what the usual coffee shops do, but also heavy meal (and they’re delicious!) so you can focus on studying/working without needing to go anywhere else when lunch or dinner time is coming. Plus, if you’re bored, you can simply go to other interesting places near here since it’s inside a mall. Unfortunately, the internet is really horrible and parking fees are expensive. This is one of my comfy place for work or at least chill with the laptop. AS i visited this for couple times, i feel like this upnormal are using more effective and efficiency to cut the budget. I can see that we should make ourself a self servic when we ordered and now even picked up the order. With an alarm (like I've seen in some Singapore resto). It is good to have a solid system, but it should managed well. I think they have less workers. Which makes the waiting time is too long. AS I seat for an hour, I just see one worker (the guy with a glasses) that become cashier, runners, and clean up the Tables. And it's not perfectly clean because he should run again to served other menus and being cashier. Credit for him! Please be better, because I do love...
