So the Kong Djie franchises themselves are ubiquitous throughout this island and even in Jakarta. This is their first outlet, and that makes it historical in its own way.
The food was amazing. The coffee was strong (called Kopi O), and you can also request the version with condensed milk (Kopi Susu), gonna be sweet. Try the local deep fried snacks — there’s risoles, lumpia and such. Just take it out from the platters and declare what you took when you’re done.
The most enthralling thing about this place though is that in the mornings it’s full of locals. Mostly tour guides. They’re gonna speak English so if you didn’t even hire one, you can rely on their friendliness if you’re overwhelmed with the ordering flow :) if you understand Indonesian… the conversations are plentiful and interesting — mostly movie-worthy! Try the pisang keju if you come late at night.

Staff is very friendly and helpful for clueless tourist like me and your order will come...
