Very good padang food with a great selection of fish, meat, and veggies. You pick what you want and pay at the cashier. I have tried the otak (good), the beef rendang (excellent, tender, tasty, mildly spicy), the ayam gulai/curry (excellent, tasty, firm, juicy), the limpa/spleen (excellent, tender but chewy with great flavour), kerang masak pedas (excellent clams on a skewer), and the urap (veggies with a nice crunch, sweet and mildly spicy). They generally serve in buffet style west Sumatran and local Belitung dishes which are flavourful, sometimes spicy and delicious overall. Place is well known and tourists from other parts of Indonesia also come here to dine. Sometimes from other parts of the world too. The service is friendly and they try to assist as much as possible and there is always someone who could converse in English although somewhat limited. Dapur Sakato merupakan rumah makan yang berkonsep self service. Nasi putihnya bisa diambil sepuasnya dan ada berbagai jenis makanan yang bisa diambil sepuasnya.

Berhubung Belitung merupakan daerah yang terkenal akan seafood, di rumah makan ini juga ada berbagai jenis seafood. Ada udang dan beberapa jenis hidangan ikan.

Buat minumannya ada air putih, teh manis & 1 jenis minuman lain yang bisa diambil sendiri.

Saya mencoba :

Nasi + Udang Balado (?) + Sate Ikan Kukus + tauge cah tahu + sambal.

Nasinya hangat dan pulen. Rasa udang baladonya juga sangat enak. Udangnya segar. Padahal berkulit, namun rasanya malah enak karena udangnya renyah dan gurih. Pedasnya pun pas.

Sate ikan kukusnya sangat recommended buat dicoba. Rasa adonan ikan sangat terasa & tepungnya nggak kebanyakan. Ikannya juga nggak berbau amis dan ada rasa santan yang gurih.

Bahkan tauge cah tahunya juga gurih dan taugenya nggak kelembekan. Sambalmya juga nikmat. . . Sebenarnya harga menunya super murah. Buat pesanan saya + es teh manis cuma Rp. 36.000.

Sayangnya, pas saya bayar, awalmya dibilang harganya Rp. 34.000. Jadi saya bayar Rp. 50.000. Nah, saya bingung karena kembalimya Rp. 14.000.

Pas saya tanya, katanya harganya Rp. 36.000 dan nggak dikasih bon. Jadi berapa...
