I stayed at the hotel and gave this place a few tries since there are only a few restaurants in the area. I was excited to try their buffet on Saturdays, but was disappointed by the skill of the grill chefs at the meat station. I asked for medium rare beef cuts, and the chefs served medium well to well done. I couldn’t tell at first since it was dark outside, but when I got to my table and had my first bite, it felt like I was chewing dried jerky. I repeated my request to the chef a second time, but waited to see the meat before it was cut. I got to my table and was happy to eat the three slices I received. I decided to get a third helping and was given meat that was well done with the very center medium rare. I got so frustrated, I didn’t go back. It wasn’t a complete waste since the seafood grill chef knew what he was doing with the squid, shrimp, and crayfish and was very consistent.
I returned to the restaurant the next night with my wife and daughter. Since my wife could not join me for the buffet, we ordered the beef tenderloin. I told the wait staff that I would send back anything overcooked since I spotted the same inconsistent grill chefs from the night before. The beef was done to perfection, and the rest of the food was good.
The third time I visited was for happy hour, and I looked at the menu before sitting down. Surprisingly, the food was all at full price even though signage around the hotel said, “select food and drinks at 50% off.” This is false advertising.
On my last visit, I ordered a Greek salad to have with my meal. Unfortunately, the Greek salad was mostly romaine lettuce. The menu, in person and online, doesn’t mention romaine lettuce in the Greek salad. A minor difference, but once again false advertising.
If you plan to dine here, please ask your wait staff clarifying questions before you order. Doing this simple step would have helped temper my expectations...
Read morePatronised this funtastic beach club on 30th March at around 4pm. Extremely delighted to be served by Staff Denny. He took our orders in the most friendly manner and informed us of Happy Hour from 4pm to 530 pm and that drinks and food were 50% off. We ordered drinks and food. His pleasant and joyful disposition made us feel very welcomed and special. Foodwise, the nachos and buffalo wings were very delicious. We were also impressed by Christian, the 'runner,' who brought food from the kitchen. He literally ran to the kitchen to bring food to the patrons at Xana Beach Club! Could tell that he is very passionate about serving and likes his job. Additionally, the awesome DJ spun an excellent choice of music and hyped up the atmosphere! Best of all, we enjoyed the seabreeze and the scenic view of the beach area. We decided on the spot that we will definitely be back soon. Kudos to the excellent team at Xana...

We then enquired about it to the waiter what is the normal serving of scallops salad of such price? He estimated it to be four and then when to the kitchen to clarify.He returned and ensured us that the kitchen will serve us more.A moment later a plate of four scallops were added.
I applaud the service recovery on this matter however we continued dining with suspicions.Was the price tag of the dish fair with 2,4 or 6 scallops? Or was the kitchen busted serving only two?
