This was a very enjoyable dining experience. Starting from the ambiance, to the incredible view, the top notch service and the elegant decor. First off, they serve you with krupuk(crackers), mini puffs with a coconut filling and an assortment of sambals. A pineapple sambal, a sweet soy sauce sambal, a red chilli sambal, a green chilli sambal and a peanut sambal. The distinct and varied flavours were such a delight to explore. Next, I had the sop buntut (oxtail soup). This was a more refined rendition, not only because of the presentation of ingredients but the broth seemed more filtered and clear and had a very clean, natural taste. I’ve had versions of this dish that are punchy in flavour due to a heavier usage of MSG. Nothing wrong with that but you have to appreciate an earnest version that still packs a load of flavour. I then had the bebek goreng ketumbar (crispy fried duck), which was so crispy on the outside, with some of the small bones being edible, yet still soft and moist enough on the inside. It didn’t have a strong duck smell either. Really very well done! By this time, I was already full but I just had to have a taste of real palm sugar in their chendol. Just because so many places selling chendol these days, don’t use it anymore. Overall, from the dishes I tried, I’d say this was a worthwhile, elevated Indonesian cuisine experience. And probably the one restaurant in the resort that is worth...
Read moreWe had our lunch here to try the Treetops restaurant since we are a non-staying guests. We managed to book on the same day and staff brought us at the Treetops Restaurant. Location - The restaurant location is perfect overlooking view and gives you a relaxing experience since it is facing the sea and you will see the horizon. Service - It was a good experience that the staff are very friendly and able to cater your needs. Kudos to Pak Michael, a trainee, who assisted us during our lunch and recommended some authentic local cuisines. We also engaged with Pak Ronal, the restaurant manager, and share a beautiful background of BT. Both of them are engaging and very friendly. Food - The presentation is wonderful and different spices. We ordered the Nasi Goreng and Beef Rendang for main course and Bingka Bakar & Putu Ayu for desserts. All are delicious and worth to try. Unfortunately, we won’t able to try the Spa because of fully-booked but definitely that experience we had will definitely give us the impression to stay and go...
Read moreI am going to give this place the benefit of doubt.
We booked a place at this restaurant because of its incredible reviews. But the food we ordered were mediocre at best. Was it worth the price? Absolutely not.
The service was excellent though, and the manager was kind enough to check-in with us to see if the food was up to standard.
We tried the Ayam Bakar which was honestly underwhelming. The chicken was dry and tough to swallow. Despite replacing my order with another chicken, it was still as dry. At this point I just felt bad and did not request for another replacement.
Your orders do come with complimentary crackers with 5 different chilis as toppings which was fantastic.
Maybe the chef wasn’t in a good mood and hence the food wasn’t up to standard.
The place definitely had a great ambience and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery if you dine outdoors.
I would probably not make another return trip as the food was really...
