I was there with my husband when we are on holiday at Bintan We ordered their lotus degustation on the menu that I believe was 6/7 courses but they served a few more appetisers before the start. Overall fantastic service with attentive servers except we do felt overall it has a lot more citrus component than anticipated in the whole meal We started with shots of tumeric ginger honey and lime. The rice and oat crackers with sauces are great. The satay and chicken wrap in the appetisers nice as well, the calamari was ok. Grilled duck breast salad is great, the amount of parsley in the might be intimidating but it taste great. Seabass soup is slightly too sour, might wanna try it before adding the squeeze of lime. The mains are served at the same time. The fried king prawn was good except the tamarind sauce is too overpowering for me. The beef green curru is great, I like the use of coconut flesh in this, the beef is ok, infact I initially mistook it for chicken breast. The rice that goes with the mains were served as table service, the concept is great but the rice was slightly disappointing, the taste was too subtle and some of the rice grains were dry and tough(like the ones that were scrap from bottom of rice cooker). Dessert was mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream. At this point, the amount of sticky rice became overwhelming. Both me and my husband felt soo full by the...

One of the best Thai restaurants! The ambiance is sophisticated yet a family-friendly place. This is one of the great memories of staying in Banyan Tree Bintan, to experience such a great dinner. Love how they presented the dishes and the serving of different kinds of rice as well. Portion wise is good for sharing for 2 pax.

Only a little bit of hiccups with the food of my boy but were easily rectified and the manager along with the head chef did some service recovery which is a good touch. Thanks to the Saffron Team, we totally enjoyed our night. Kudos to your...

Uneven experience. Starting with the weirdest kids menu ever...

Drinks were good, especially our starter ginger drink which was great - however the shrimp in the Tom Yum and Pad Thai was not firm like it should be but squishy - which spoilt both dishes. The Fried Chicken also was not as crispy as you'd expect from a Thai restaurant. We also had the massaman beef curry, which was not spicy but was reasonably tasty.

Lots to work with here, starting with great staff and a potentially great location - a little more care in the kitchen and this could...

Came here for dinner - Food was slightly above average, sea view was great, service was good. However, the price did not add up. Ordered 3 typical dishes I would order at a Thai restaurant: 1) Phad Thai (prawn) 2) Stir fry seafood (prawn, scallop, mussel, sotong) 3) Tomyum soup + 1 bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water. Bill came down to 1.4m IDR (121 SGD) aft tax, which is crazy expensive. Furthermore, it was not easy to get a table here. Would not come back
