Lotus Cafe — Restaurant in Riau Islands

Outrageously horrible! It 0 star is allowed, I would definitely give this restaurant 0 rating, and it deserves it. Food is not authentic at all, for sure. Anybody who commented “authentic” or “good”, they must work in the restaurant for sure, or just have never tasted any Asian food before. The fish tastes like chicken breast, and it really does not taste like fresh catch of the day. Noodle is definitely instant noodle. And we waited like 30 minutes till the snacks to be served. On the upside, the breakfast(which is free)is very good though. It’s just the lunch and dinner that suck. I don’t usually leave comments, cos i am often too lazy to leave comments that prabably will not be seen by anyone. But this time, I don’t mind spending a valuable amount of my time to reveal the true nature of this “fancy” restaurant, and hope that there will be a slight chance that someone will read it in the future...

Because breakfast was included, I came and it was so so bad.

The dining hall indoor seating was above 30C and humid. The turning fans made it worst blowing the hot air No one was at the registration stand Half the food trays were empty. They ran out of watermelon juice and the orange juice was diluted with cordial instant syrup 1 coffee machine for the entire Angsana and Cassia Resort and needed descaling The mee Soto soup was cold I really do not want to continue and am happy I’m only here for 1 night

Only saving grace was the spirit and smiles of the staff despite all the gloomy and disappointed...

The wors place ever. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. I had my chicken just 2 nights ago. Before we even left the restaurant I had to visit the restroom. I told the waiter that the food was just nasty. She just told me to try beef next time????!!!!! Unfortunately people at this resort don't have much food choice. I REALLY hope the management team of this place read these...
