If you're planning on visiting Bogor Botanical Garden then you might want to visit here as a rest stop for your tired legs and get a breather while enjoying a cold beverage and nothing else then I completely agree with you, but if you plan on eating and to eat only I suggest you pick somewhere else. Entry to the restaurant cost Rp.30000/person if you go by car, since you're entering through the Borger Botanical Garden to enter the restaurant. They say it's free after 5 pm since the gardens are closed but you still can enter to the restaurant.
The food are not that special, to me it tastes the same as any restaurant food, but the Nasi goreng ikan teri strikes me as meh! It lacks the punch from the ikan teri. The rice feels like new rice and not a day old rice which makes good base for fried rice. The pickles seems not that fresh and lacks that juicy crunch and sharp tinge.
Service is a bit lacking. Most of the waiters seems preoccupied with something and not concentrating on the service. I visited during the low hours and still the service seems lacking to me. The only thing going for this place is the fact Obama and Jokowi had a meal there and a view of the garden (which by the way is not much since the restaurant is not at a high vantage point to present a 180 or even a 360 view of the gardens) but its sufficient enough.
I admit it has potential if its managed well and they put some effort on improving its service quality and its food tastes. Also its entry fee too. I can't justify paying a high entry fee to enjoy food that is not...

This place is indeed a very comfortable and beautiful to hang out and get together with friends or companions, even the atmosphere that are here are very supportive to discuss business.
This restaurant is one of the tenants which are in Bogor Botanical Garden. This place previously did not provide stalls for it. But in order to support the development of tourist destinations of Bogor, especially to attract more people to visit, then the government is providing this kind of stall to relax.
In addition to serving various menus and pastries as well as light refreshments, Grand Garden Resto also complement this relaxing place with home acoustic band that was able to serve the song and the music from visitors request, including those who wish to contribute are welcome voice rising stage. It's really familiar.
We can choose whether we are gathered to relax inside or in the open space. If in the open space we will be able to enjoy beautiful, green scenery around the restaurant which is a Botanical Garden Bogor. And Grand Garden Resto and Cafe is certainly not far from the back of the Bogor palace.
Services carried out here pretty fast and most importantly we are served with a friendly and warm.
I suggest this place is well worth visit if we want to travel to Bogor, especially to Bogor Botanical Gardens.
After weary surrounds the various attractions botanical then we can rest relaxed in...

No one greet us to welcome at the front door and escort us in. We sat down on our own. For those who want to dine-in, please expect self-seating.
After we sat down for about 10 minutes, no one ask us to order until I came to the cashier and said to order then a waiter is "assigned" to help us make an order.
We ordered Oxtail Soup, fried style. It came up a plate with rice and "spicy flour coated" fried oxtail also a bowl of standard extra soup. Coated? Yes. Looks like spicy flour fried chicken out there. This is the first time I ate Oxtail Soup, fried "spicy flour coated" style. It really far from my taste and expectation.
We also ordered Nasi Goreng Kluwek which is one of Raasaa signature dish. It is tasteless, plain, but Kluwek taste only and we have to ask a small cup of pickles, where in every standard Nasi Goreng elsewhere served with pickles included.
In summary, the food successfully kill...
