Kedai Kopi Sedap — Restaurant in City of Pematang Siantar

Come with a real oldish kopitiam vibes but so comfortable to have small talk or heavy conversation here.

Came here to try the toast, which is already popular in the city. The toast cost around 15-16k IDR depends on the variant you order. There is 1 slice of toast which is cut into 6 parts in a portion. What I ordered is chocolate toast (using chocolate sprinkles but it's really melted in mouth when I have a bite). I highly recommend the Srikaya Toast bcs it's just taste so good!!! 👌👌

I ordered Iced Tea (20k IDR), and Milk Tea (25k IDR). Actually, the price is a bit pricey for local price, but in my opinion, the milk tea is taste perfectly right.

Oh one more thing, if you come here, you really have to try their srikaya. They also sell srikaya per pack. There are 1/4 kg, 1/2 kg (75k IDR if I'm not mistaken) and 1 kg. It's expensive, but you can tell why they put such a price when you try...

Actually this is my favorite place in Siantar since i was a kid, so if my family go to Parapat we will make stop at Siantar to enjoy KK Sedap' bread and tea. But now i'm won't too recommend this place since it is 79°F outside, but this place not provide air conditioning, and people can easily smoke inside. Really makes me dizzy, the staff also not really clean to wipe the table after being used by the previous customer. The conclusion is, this place not really comfortable...

If you want to visit Lake Toba, Parapat, make sure that you also make a stop at Pematang Siantar. They had this legendary coffee shop located on the roadside. I ordered an iced coffee and white bread with srikaya, that was a great combination!
