SUSHI KAWE — Restaurant in Denpasar Barat

Do not eat the „wagyu“ beef there. I got a steak that was slight brown, raw inside, and was definitely not wagyu. I asked beforehand if they have wagyu beef, they confirmed. What came was just a 1mm brown cooked layer, propped up (not flat or cut like a steak) beef thing, that was very elastic and tough to cut. It smelled and tasted kinda like those shredded beef patties and i couldnt differentiate if its fatty or just raw on many parts inside. I ordered medium rare but it didnt even seem properly cooked in the first place. It seemed to be some part fat inside and i wasnt familiar with the „Australia Melinquet“ so i ate it and didnt realize its raw at first When asking if that is wagyu or what kind of, i was answered „i dont know“. The few sushi i ate was not bad but seems very untrustworthy. Definitely a careless restaurant, not caring about customers wellbeing. If you serve wagyu, a very expensive meat, you would probably know what kind it is or where its from. Shouldve known better aswell, seemed to good to be true. Definitely...

Let's review it... The restaurant is a little hard to notice from the road right away... The table & chair setting is neatly placed, even with a little tight space you still move around (+ there's free WiFi)... The employee is too quiet, not too welcoming attitude but not that bad that makes customer ran 🙂... And lastly the food, it's good but I can taste that the salmon is not to fresh or maybe it's because of the grade of the salmon, but for the tuna is okay + free green tea refill... Overall it's okay just to taste quick sushi or sashimi but don't expect real flavor of...

The sushi resto is in the affordable price range. Pretty good for those on a budget. A large selection to chose from though often some menu aren't available. Usually not very crowded, which is good. Had an unpleasant experience here though where I lost my earphones, there are no other customers in the 2nd floor the whole time we were here until we get home (3-4 hours in the afternoon to evening).
