Das Bistro by Mama's — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

I would like to share my experience for everyone considering a visit to Das Bistro by Mama’s to prepare them for an absolutely dreadful experience.

I’ll start with the pizza we ordered, which tasted more like a cake than a proper pizza. I’ll overlook this, as this place isn’t a pizzeria, and pizza isn’t advertised as their “specialty.” However, what is truly unacceptable is the quality of their so-called German cuisine, specifically their pork schnitzel.

After an extremely long wait, we were served a schnitzel that was burnt on the outside and ice-cold and bloody raw on the inside. It was blatantly obvious that the schnitzel had been pulled straight from the freezer and carelessly tossed into hot oil without proper preparation. This alone would have been enough to leave me dissatisfied.

The worst, however, came when we raised this issue with the staff. Instead of handling it professionally by apologizing and preparing a new schnitzel, they took the already cut and used schnitzel, threw it back into the oil (yes, the same oil likely used for cooking food for other guests), and returned this overcooked monstrosity back to our table.

Not only is this procedure utterly unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint, but it also shows a complete lack of respect for the customer. Returning a used piece of meat to the oil and then serving it back on the plate? This is an absolute low that wouldn’t be tolerated in the worst diner, let alone in a place claiming to be “specialists” in German cuisine.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. If you’re looking for professionalism, quality food, or even basic hygiene standards, steer clear of this place. Das Bistro by Mama’s stands out as one of the worst dining experiences...

This review is for its German deli shop - this is my go-to place to get my monthly supply!

Service is spectacular, from all level of staffs : security and parking staffs who provide umbrella and help me all the way, and cashier and deli staff who are both knowledgeable.

This is the place to get your frozen and processed meat. I get my salami, ham, sausages, minced beef, and also organic Chicken breast. They also sell canned tomatoes, herbs and spices, frozen french fries, etc etc, even ice cream!

The place is large, clean, and well ventilated. The restaurant is situated in the same area as the shop and also on the second floor. WiFi is provided, good connection. Ample amount of parking space for cars and bikes, not only in front of the shop/restaurant but next to it , there's an empty land to use with signboard of Das Bistro in front. .

Reasonable price with wide variety of processed meat to choose from, the brand is a manufacturer and they also distribute to other retails and supply to restaurants and hotels.

However I've tried their pastry and it's a disappointment, so I'll just stick to their core which is cold cut meats.

One suggestion: how bout promotion and membercard to attract more customers and attain customers loyalty? that would be great...
