Legit Kitchen and garden — Restaurant in Depok

In my humble opinion; this place main selling point is the place itself. It kind of want to put an old indische vibe with the background music it plays. Although the lay out itself represent a greenhouse garden with a lot, I mean a hell lot, of plants from various kind. So if you really into that kind of thing, then this place is worth to consider.

But!!

The food is clearly overpriced. While I appreciate the concept, I really do, with pushing the natural ingredients into play and reducing any food grade chemical involvements. The kitchen clearly failed to bring out the taste of the ingredients mentioned, at least for my food. And there is nothing more I don't like than an overprice stuff to buy. Haha The beverage was okay. Portion was clearly larger than normal beverage, but still, failed to bring the taste from the ingredients. For example, my pinneaple mint was only cut pinnaple and mint leaves being put in together mixed with water and nata de coco. Taste could be enhanced if you mashed the fruit and the leaves before pouring in the water actually. I would love to give this place more stars, since I love the concept, but the excecution was just too average for the price tag you put. Sorry mate, not this...

What I love from Legit Dapur, they've cookedall the dishes like home-made meals, which I loved most!

I met the head chef of this resto as well as the owner of Legit Dapur (Chef Fika), she's a very nice woman and explained every dish and how she cooked them all kindly.

Like warteg but so modern, you can always pick your favorite meals on the counter. Don't worry, they won't mix them all on your rice plate, they could serve them all on small plates.

Let's say, Kikil Pedas was my favorite dish! She cooked it perfectly, not too hard and not too soft, also served with tons of chillies that gave the look of the dish so cute and craveable for spicy food lover.

For those who would like to visit Yogya and enjoy the feel-like-home dishes but with the touch of modern and fusion ingridients, I suggest you to pick Legit Dapur and enjoy the meals on the place like healing garden while taking some pictures for your social...

Great Local Food Restaurant in North of Yogyakarta!

Staffs were very helpful and responsive to our needs and orders. Ambience was very comfortable to with Garden View in the back of Restaurant.

Price is slightly above average in Yogyakarta but because it is a family dining restaurant that you need to choose lots of small menus for selections, then you have to order some few menus to complete your dining experience.

They rotate their prepared menu everyday too, so you’ll need to visit and see what their menu prepared for the day. (But you can also order basic menu that they can immediately cook in their kitchen like Omellete or Stir Fried Vegetables)
