I don't know why so many people give this place high ratting, in different slow bar around Jogjakarta you can get more better service and price, It's honest my experience rather this one of populer caffe shop in Tictok or social media, maybe you can prepare before deciding to go :
The shop only open half of day, so if you want stay longer that 1 pm it's not recommended. And for someone to hurry and have another plan for day is quite long to get quenue, estimate you waiting about 1-2 hours. You can pick your queneu ticket directly the staff will help you.
The cup off filter coffe is around 40k and piece of cake aroud 40-45k, it's quite high for common coffe shop in Jogja because common a glass of coffe generaly is not more than 30k IDR even if you going to most famous caffe shop,
For slow bar bussiness is important to have interaction for costumers and the staff must be talktive, but it's more better if you give right topic for disscuse and convey it naturally for example you can describe all of the beans that you have and giving information about anything in caffe, not impolitely discussing physical disabilities, as Javanese people who pays great attention to manners and politeness, i don't think that's a good way to start a conversation, right!!. The consept about great and warm welcoming lost due to income orientation, very disappointing.
Quality of coffe, for a cup 40k coffe/each is not directly proportional with quality and price, the Luwak Coffe with high premium grade you can reach with same price, even they claim that the beans are processed daily using special machines but the taste is so so, just a common coffe. You can't smell herbs/fruit/flowers, event you can't taste sweetness or something from coffe just like plain arabican bean. In another place you can just spent only 15k and get more better taste of coffe.
the place to interact is very limited, you can only sit on the floor. They not prepare well for comfort.
In summary, I believes the shop prioritizes "income orientation" over customer experience, making it a highly regrettable and overpriced choice that does not live up to its...
Β Β Β Read moreMy friend and I made the 30 minute drive by motorbike from the tourist district of Yogyakarta just to try out Klinik Kopi. It was well worth it. Pepe, the owner and manager, gave us a tour of the shop and explained how he roasts and prepares his coffee. For each bean he pulled shots of espresso from, he explained it's community of origin, many of which he has worked in teaching farmers how to grow and process high quality coffee. As we tried many different espressos and pour overs, I sampled 4 shots of espresso and a pour over and my friend tried three shots of espresso and a pour over, Pepe showed us documentary films of coffee farms, processing facilities and cafes around the world. Pepe was extremely friendly and a great guy from whom to learn the ins and outs of high quality coffee.
I ended up purchasing 8 bags of coffee to bring home to America. All of my family loves the coffee, especially the honey "natural" process beans. My fiancΓ© thought that the oksibil dark beans were the best she had ever had prepared on a stovetop espresso maker.
Klinik Kopi had an open air seating area underneath a bamboo roof where customers sat and chat as they enjoyed their delicious espresso.
I highly recommend stopping by Klinik Kopi if you...
