MPool and Bistro — Restaurant in Depok

I visited this place for an AYCE (all you can eat) party for my cousin's birthday. The ambiance was fantastic, especially at night. The food was indeed all you can eat, with a wide range of options, although not all were to my taste. The grilled beef and grilled squid were the highlights, cooked perfectly and simply delicious. However, the sushi was mainly filled with vegetables, mayo, and cheese, which I didn't enjoy much. The kimchi, served in small glasses, had an unusual sourness that didn't match the authentic Korean taste I was expecting. The odeng was okay, but not as hearty as I anticipated. The corndog was too thick of flour but lacked filling, and the hotteok dessert, although also a bit too thick, had a strong cinnamon flavor that saved it. As for drinks, I stuck to mineral water mostly, but the addition of banana milk was a pleasant surprise. Selepas berbuka puasa bersama, saya dan teman-teman memilih untuk bersantai di M Pool & Bistro Margo Hotel. Tak ada yang berubah dari tempat ini. Interior masih sama, beragam furnitur dan tata letaknya pun tidak berubah. Area kolam renang dengan lanskap Margo City menjadi pemandangan yang dapat dinikmati dari sini. Barisan tempat duduk aneka bentuk membuat M Pool & Bistro tampak menarik sekaligus estetik.

Pisang Goreng (Rp.53.000,-) terhidang dalam piring besar berwarna putih dihias taburan coklat bubuk pada setengah bagiannya. Pisang goreng ditusuk kayu mirip sate dengan dua wadah berisi coklat leleh serta parutan keju sebagai celupan. Pisangnya sendiri sudah matang jadi terasa manis dan lembek. Tambahan coklat leleh mirip saus memberikan sensasi manis yang chocolatey bernuansa milky. Parutan kejunya pun cheezy dan sempurna.

Americano (Rp.35.000,-) karakter kopi mereka nampaknya mengandung robusta yang cukup kuat. Aroma serta cita rasanya langsung mengisi rongga mulut sesaat setelah menyesapnya. Untuk jenis kopi bitter serta bertekstur kasar seperti ini sebenarnya bukan tipe kesukaan saya, tapi saat dinikmati bersama pisang goreng yang manis segalanya jadi...
