Sushimas Depok Margonda — Restaurant in Depok

I've only been here twice—both visits that happened in the same month, this year and last year. I found out about this sushi restaurant from my coworkers who invited me to eat here. They said it was delicious and affordable.

Both visits left a great impression: the sushi was tasty, came in many varieties, and was reasonably priced. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone trying sushi for the first time.

As for the service? It’s excellent, every staff member is friendly. They answer our questions politely, such as explaining what type of sushi a certain one is. The food also arrived fairly quickly after ordering and was served on visually appealing plates. Plus, if you order ocha (hot or cold), the staff will proactively offer to refill your glass when it’s almost empty (you don’t need to call them over). After you finish your meal, they promptly clean up your table.

The restaurant itself isn’t very spacious, it’s more of a narrow, elongated layout; but there are enough seats to accommodate the customers. Each table is already equipped with soy sauce (shoyu), wasabi, a plate for shoyu, and utensils. The ambiance is also quite calm, even though customers are chatting while eating. The decor is colorful. You can even take nice photos at your seat because the walls are adorned with lots of Japanese posters.

There’s a restroom on the second floor, though I didn’t use it. It has a unique sign that can be rotated to show “Occupied” or “Vacant.” Maybe the only downside is that there’s no prayer room. It would be great if they could provide even a small space for that.

The location is right on the main Margonda road, a few shop lots (ruko) down from D’Mall. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this sushi restaurant.

The place was clean and tidy, staff were responsive. We ordered takoyaki (5pcs for IDR25K), it was the best I ever had in months. Salmon cheese nigiri (2pcs for IDR16K) was a must try dish, you could smell and taste the smokey sensation. Perfect! Hana roll (8pcs for IDR30K) came with shrimp tempura inside the rice, it was crunchy and delicious. I shall reorder this again in the near future. Salmon skin roll (6pcs for IDR22K) was also crunchy and savory. Volcano roll (8pcs for IDR26K) was also recommended, it had cucumber and avocado inside and the fish tasted smokey and really nice. For dessert, we have chocolate and vanilla ice cream, tasted nice. Ocha drink was also OK. We made the right choice to try this newest sushi resto in town. All the best and see you again...

Worth to try sii, not sushi that you craving for tho, but the drinks are shocking,, it's so tasty and consider as a good quality altho it's not cost that much, i ordered yuzu lychee tea, i get 2 lychee and a fresh yuzu tea which I really love to taste. The sushi,, I ordered lava sushi consist of spicy mayo n crab stick, i always order something like this in sushi resto bcos i never get disapointed with the taste of crab stick, but this one, i can't get the taste that i want.
