A&W Kedoya — Restaurant in Jakarta

When we visited, it was at around 11pm. We ordered through an online delivery service and we waited. The driver came through, tried paying using his debit card only to find that the machine was broken. The driver had to find an ATM to get some cash. By the time the driver came back, we had already waited for 30-40 mins in total. That's one. And the 2nd one was, of the ladies raised her voice at us (understable-ish) and unfortunately didn't keep her mask on at any given time while we were there at the very least. She was shouting to the kitchen right in front of the food, talking to the customers with no mask on, etc. We signalled her to put her mask on, then she did. Probably just a simple thing, easily being overlooked especially when the shop is busy...However, in the times like this, it's neither okay for the business nor for the customers. Please pay attention...

Double Beef Burger with Spicy Cheese. Relatively a new menu. IDR 50,000.00

Did not order the full-package menu, which consist of the burger, drink, and fries (optional). Try to avoid sugar and unnecessary calories intake. Quite nice. Medium-sized beef burger. In my opinion the price is a bit higher than I would expect a burger to cost. But overall, I quite like the taste of their food. The fried chicken is quite flavorful: more salty and savory, compared to the other fast food chain.

You can get the chilli sauce from the counter. For the tomato sauce, you will have to ask for it. They will give you the order number after you have paid. Then, you can take your seat and they will bring your order to your table.

An impromptu takeout because I was so hungry when driving home a bit late from the office. They have 24 hours drive-thru that only fits one to two cars and you need to enter the shop area a little ahead because there is a road closure to the nearest entrance of the shop and a residential area – I think it causes traffic jams as many cars go in and out. The service was surprisingly quick and precise, you can pay with QRIS too for the noncash payment. I mean A&W has one of the best and most authentic fried chicken, rootbeer, and waffles...
