I thought the restaurant focuses on southern or seafood-centric Italian foods as its name - Amalfi- claims. But I don't understand the theme of this place.
The menu is flooded with so many choices, seems they were in panic to show every possible dish the kitchen can cook. I didn't know croffle is Italian. A few main courses like barramundi was good, actually. But I don't expect just grilled piece of protein with some chillies at Italian Restaurant.
But we were convinced to order something else from the first round of order. But pizza really did let me down. Dough was kind of solidified version of tortilla, but not pleasant to eat.
Table for two was very small and limited to display more than 3 dishes.. table for 3 or 4, the size of the table stays the same..
They seem to invest tons in their renovation, but I am not sure on their cooking. To be fair, limoncello frozen drink wasn't bad. Not a bad place for hang out, but some crowd can be excruciatingly unpleasant shouting laughing savagely.
I think Emilia Cuccina is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor appetizers we were served 2 types of bread. A butter roll and crisps with truffle butter (if I'm not mistaken) and chilli dipping. They were both nice and tasteful.
Lychee lemongrass mocktail was very refreshing. Combination of lychee and lemongrass suprisingly worked well.
For starters, the Capri pizza consisted of a thin sourdough base, topped with creamy sauce, smoked salmon and prawn. The dough was a bit chewy and at a perfect thickness. The smoked salmon's consistency was plump and moist. The sauce complemented the seafood flavor.
The pasta were definitely homemade. Not the store bought type. The elasticity, the colour and the way they were absorbing the sauce š Tagliatelle alle vongole was moist, with plenty of sauce or seafood juice. It was superb.
Also impressed with the live band. The 2 energetic singers and an amazing guitar player performed really well. And last but not least, all the staffs were attentive and super friendly.
This resto ticked all of the boxes. We will...

During my visit, I was welcomed with complimentary garlic bread, a delightful start to the meal. The gnocchi stood out with its exceptional taste and texture, truly capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. The risotto, accompanied by fresh prawns and salmon roe, was equally impressive, showcasing the chefās skill in balancing flavors and ingredients.
However, the semi-outdoor setting did present a minor inconvenience, as a fly was occasionally present. This is understandable given the open nature of the space, but itās something the management might want to address to enhance the dining experience.
