Arborea Café — Restaurant in Jakarta

I'm just glad that Senayan neighborhood still have some green spaces of trees in Jakarta.

Went there yesterday because husband been nagging to get his monthly dose of greens (we usually go to Kebun Raya Bogor / Cibodas / Halimun etc for him to channel his "forest" crave), but I'm swamped with deadlines and have no time to go somewhere far, so I took him here for a quick breezy hang out.

Too bad we can't mute the traffic noise, obviously, but other than that, it worked.

Will visit here again for a cozy spot for meet up & talk with friends. Not many teenagers / instagrammers here so vibe is more, peaceful, gladly. Just a couple of bapak-bapak and ministry employees having a casual meeting.

Place : 8.5/10 Food : 7.5/10 - the gorengan came in big portion though Coffee : 6/10 - I didn't expect artisan-made coffee anyway, they are ok lah, good selection of coffee though Non-coffee drinks : 7/10 - I do enjoy the shaved ice matcha milk tea, however, almost all drinks a little too sweet to my taste Price : 8/10 Service : 7/10 - food court style service, simple but decent Vibe : 9/10 - if we can magically omit the traffic noise, would be 10/10... Arbórea café is unique cafe-restaurant in central Jakarta. This place is inside the area of Indonesian Ministry of Forestry and Environmental. Basically their concepts are representing the spirit of those ministry. They are surrounded by little forest with heterogen trees and flower. When you came at the first time, you will amaze with his minimalist exterior building, also with the ambience. From the menu, I highly suggested that you pick their coffee menu. They have classical and traditional way while provided coffee. Food are average, but they have variations on beverages. They have tea, chocolate also modern coffee such as caramel or latte. If you are really social media addicted might be this place are fit with you, they pretty sure Instagram able. But one big disappointment from my visiting was, they have stinky scent in some corners of the main building. The smells was so bad, It's like an unworking...

Well.. i suggest you to come here around 4pm, love the atmosphere but its a bit hot cause it is outdoor and the indoor isnt working yet🤨 i really love the watermelon juice and all the packaging using paper based! The nasi goreng a bit spicy but you can request not to add chilli, the platter of side dish was good!!! But its not enough, i had to add more🤪 and the coffee was quite nice

You cant be dropped off in front of the cafe, but otherwise you can enter through the ministry of forestry (kementrian kehutanan) and direct to the left. But as long as you walk towards the cafe, its like "in the middle of woods" cause it is sorrounded by the big trees, small bushes and flowers. Suddenly it raining, adding the scent of earth and its a bit chilling cause of the winds. Soulful. Would like to come back...
