Skywalk Spark — Attraction in Jakarta

A very unique concept that blends shopping mall and park together. I have to say I really like it! If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy Jakarta's city view, this is one of the places to go to.

The shopping mall building is still under progress but quite lots of the stores especially for dining in have already opened. The main attraction to me is the skywalk located at the toppest floor of the building where you can see the city view.

I came here twice: once at day and once at night. I think both have their own ups and downs. When I visited at day, it's not that crowded. You can walk the skywalk freely since there weren't many prople around and that allowed me to take pics easily too. When I came at night, it's more crowded than before that it's harder to take pics and walk around. But the view is also better in my opinion with all the city lights at night. There's a prerequisite of minimum purchase (you have to show receipts from any store inside the building) to enter the skywalk.

I don't necessarily know any easy way of getting here by public transport. I tried to go there by one but took a car ride instead because there's no direct stop near the building. It gets crowded easily also after lunch hours. Especially if you plan to bring your own car, the parking queue after lunch hours on...

Skywalk Spark is located at Senayan Park Mall complex, one of the best mall in Jakarta which just opened 20 Dec 2021. From this skywalk, we can see Jakarta city skyscrapers from a height which has several unique Instagramable spots 😎 especially in the night 🌃. There are two permanent binoculars on the skywalk to provide more experience for people who want to see Jakarta from a height, however it's not operated yet 😁.

To access this skywalk, we need to go to level 2 from lobby area using escalator or using lift near Yougwa Danau Sentani resto at ground floor. It is open for public and free, open from 3 to 9 PM. Please be informed that it's limit only 100 people who can enter the skywalk at the same time 😅. For example if there are five people who come out, five more people will be added who are waiting in line. Please ensure to follow all guidance during your visit here, for example: avoid using high heel 👠 Overall experience visiting this place I feel satisfied, but definitely will come back here for night...

One less star because it's counter-intuitive to reach. You'd assume that it can be reached by going straight with the elevator to the rooftop, only to be stopped by the security at Notus restaurant. The only way to get there is through the Timezone arcade, but only after circling around on each floor to get on different escalators. A typical strategy to get you to see the tenants, but hey a little walk is always good.

Security would check on physical receipt as proof of spending on the mall (mininum 50.000 IDR for two people) before allowing you to enter the skywalk. There is a maximum 15 minutes time limit, but it seems no one is enforcing the rule. But since there is no place to sit, and depending on how busy the crowd, it is not a place to really enjoy the view for a long time anyway.
