A standalone branch located right across the Tarakan Public General Hospital. From the hospital, you can get here by crossing the pedestrian bridge. The location is reachable by route-based public transportation modes: TransJakarta BRT corridor 8 (stop at Tarakan shelter), non BRT 8M, and Mikrotrans JakLingko Jak. 13.

There's a space-y parking area for both cars and motorcycles. Be advised that there's a parking attendant (tukang parkir) on the premises.

This branch has a drive-thru counter and musholla. There are two dining areas: indoor and outdoor. The latter is for smokers. Conveniently, both dining areas are on the ground floor. No need to go up-and-down the stairs.

They still use the simple, traditional way to place orders: at the counter. They accept cash, cards, and online payments. One small thing that they can improve is the menu screen. It should've shown a more complete list.

I ordered their specialty Whopper Burger with Cheese deal with french fries and a cup of iced jasmine tea. Got my orders in less than 10 minutes. The food tasted OK and up to the franchise's standards.

The hand washing sink, tray and garbage bin, and chili sauce station are all located in the indoor dining area. The separated toilets are also there, while the outdoor dining area has unisex toilet. Tomato sauce packs can be requested at...

Their fried chicken and rice package costs 47K with tax. For the drink, you can choose between softdrinks, lemon tea, or sweet tea. All of it are sweet drinks. The chicken is crispy and the meat is tender. You can ask for tomato sauce too if you like.

The rice is a bit dry yet still in hot temperature. It is self-service here. You have to wait for your order to be ready. Then you can bring your food and get the chilli sauce yourself...

I was on my photography tour when I got really hungry and I wanted to try out burger king for the first time in Jakarta. The interior felt a bit unclean I must say first. Then they mixed up or got my order wrong. It's ok this can happen. I ordered the simple menu with beef burger cheese, fries and coke. I did not like the burger much. Too much bread too little beef paddie. The sauce was also just not very interesting nor tasty. Fries are normal. All in all a mediocre experience. At least...
