TL;DR: go there if you want to fill up on cheap food while being ignored by busy waiters. On the plus side, the food is half decent (that's why this review is more than one star). They clear your table fast. And they rush to take your money. On the down side, let me count the ways. As a buffet, their strategy is to get you to fill up on the free (mostly fried) stuff, and have you order the more expensive items with one of their elusive waiters. Some items come on chariots, but if you're seated at a table on the other side of the room, you're out of luck, you'll have to cross the restaurant to check what's on there. When we ordered - and we're talking dim sum staples here, har gao and siu mai - we had to wait for a good FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. Our food arrived after asking five different people where our food was. There are 50 round tables that occupies 10 seats each, a huge stage, a bar in the corner, two massive LCD with ultra resolution. I'm talking about your phone resolution at the size of a huge wall. Okay maybe that's a little overstatement, but you can basically appreciate every detail displayed on it without any pixelated image.
oh and a perfect set of sound system so good your chest beats along with every bass.
The light works and smoke is definitely a beauty of its own. So gorgeous it can turn a slow performance into an epic show.
Now the food, every bit of them leaves a good aftertaste that is not too tacky, but calmly memorable. Which followed by the glass of heartwarming tea that never goes dry. I admit that I love the tea they serve. Better yet the waiters make sure your glass is always full and perfectly heated. Best experience...
Read moreLocation: mangga dua square, direction was clear and parking was easy. Ambience: dimsum area was moved to ballroom hall. It does feel weird and empty. Food: food quality and serving time have tremendously deteriorated. We ordered chicken siumai, chicken feet, steam tofu roll, some veggies and hakau. These were all below average quality. The skin of our shaolongbao was also too thick and startchy. Service: looks like the waiter/waitress were not a trained staff. Their uniform looked old and faded. Some of the waiters did not even wear a proper uniform. Not sure what's happened. Price: I would say pricing was okay but food quality is the main...
