Kemangi — Restaurant in Jakarta

Need improvement on service and supervision. One order came then wait for quite sometime for our other food then wait for quite sometime for our other food and so on. No control which food has and hasnt come in the order, have to ask. At the end 2 items did not come even after asking for them a few times. Upon payment at cashier, i asked to cancel the two items. The cashier nodded and print out the list then without saying anything she just left!! And i found out that the 2 items were still on the list!!! After waiting a while, cashier finally came back, i asked how come the 2 items were still there. She says leisurely that i would have to pay the total amount coz i wanted to by by cc. she cannot cancel the 2 items as they were already in the system and she will give me back cash for the 2 items. There were already a number of people in the cashier queue behind me, I dont want to ask more abt it and also i have had enough. Seems to be no manager or supervisor who could have handled the situation better. No apology what so ever from the cashier etc. So good to know and never again although food was okay. With the same price i better go to other similar restaurants with much better...

I recently visited Kemangi Resto and had an enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was excellent.

I started with the crispy tofu, which had a perfect golden crunch on the outside while remaining soft on the inside. It paired well with green chilly-cabe, making it a great appetizer, sweet corn fried, chicken satay, goat satay (a bit hard to bite), gado gado, bitter melon, fried noodles and I also had fried banana, which was beautifully crispy with a warm, sweet center—a delightful way to end the meal.

The restaurant’s decor also stood out. The wall art added a unique charm, giving the place a cozy and welcoming feel. Even the to-go packaging was well thought out, ensuring that leftovers stayed fresh.

One downside was the parking situation—it was quite complicated and overcrowded, making it a bit of a hassle to find a spot. If you plan to visit, consider arriving early or being prepared for some parking challenges.

What you order is not what you get. The actual order is totally different from picture from the menu, very very very disappointing.

Ok siomay in menu said per pc, but cylindrical shape, with wrapping. The actual is small, flat, not appetizing. Looks like a piece that is drop out of the Kentang Siomay, Egg Siomay. Flat like bakso gepeng of Bakso Afung. Order kentang, but no siomay on top. Ok not challenging that. Initially I thought my siomay is the flat piece drop from kentang’s top. So kentang is just potato without siomay. Very misleading.

Ordered Curry chicken. Out of curry chicken. Order soto madura, no more soto madura too.
