Lamian Palace - Mall Artha Gading — Restaurant in Jakarta

im actually a usual at this place cos i find the food somewhat comforting and dimsum quite spot on. been craving for their cuisine for more than 2 weeks, but when i expected comfort food what i got was disappointment. maybe its because of the sudden spike in traffic due to eid mubarak, but i just couldnt register in my mind a restaurant with renowned name in jakarta and a bit pricey would serve food this way regardless of the traffic. stood in the middle of the restaurant for 5 whole minutes calling for waiters and being ignored. ordered yangchow fried rice, portion was TINY and to my surprise it had salted fish in it. not to mention the taste of the chicken feet that is usually so good this time it was practically bland. took so long (more than 30mins) for all my orders to be served. one word: inconsistent (both service and food). hope there will be better improvements ahead.

The management/service here is bad. I should've had a registered membership card 2 months ago, yet I somehow can't use it, saying that the balance is empty. A staff came to my help and said that the card should've expired if not registered after 3 months, and he also asks where I made my membership card (even though it's here). He's not even serious to solve the problem yet after my card got checked, it's true that they issued and registered the card 2 months ago with an initial balance as fee. That staff just laughed it off, and when I thought that he's just a mere staff, he said that he's the manager. Worst managerial experience ever, and that's for me as a member (not ordinary customer). Definitely NOT...

Oh how I miss this restaurant, especially the noodles with minced pork and the steamed buns filled with sweet salted egg.

This restaurant used to be in Surabaya, at Ciputra World on the underground level. I remember watching the foreign chef make noodles from scratch while enjoying the ones he prepared. 😂

Honestly, the taste hasn’t changed! They’ve always been consistent with how delicious the noodles are.

The dim sum chicken feet are savory and spicy! Perfect! I’m so glad I got to visit this restaurant while I’m still in Jakarta.
