I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pondok Mutiara 68, a seafood restaurant located in Tebet Dalam Raya, and I have to say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the restaurant takes great pride in their seafood selection. The menu featured a wide variety of options, including traditional Indonesian dishes as well as some international favorites. I decided to start off with the ikan bakar, or grilled fish, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned with a delicious blend of spices. It was so fresh and flavorful that I couldn't help but devour it in minutes.
For my main course, I decided to try the shrimp curry and it was absolutely delicious. The curry was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of spices and a generous amount of shrimp. The shrimp was cooked just right, and it was so succulent and juicy. I also appreciated that the restaurant was generous with the portions, I left feeling full and satisfied.
The service at Pondok Mutiara 68 was also top-notch. The staff were attentive and friendly, and they were more than happy to answer any questions I had about the menu or the seafood selection. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the decor, it was simple yet elegant with a touch of traditional Indonesian.
In conclusion, if you're in the mood for some delicious seafood and excellent service, I highly recommend Pondok Mutiara 68. I will definitely be back to try more dishes from their menu and I believe this restaurant is a must-visit for seafood lovers in Tebet Dalam Raya. Five...

Usually when we craved for seafood, usually we went to outskirt Jakarta. Bandar jakarta in Ancol, Aroma Sop in muara karang or Sarang Kepiting in Gunung Sahari.
I am glad to find decent place with complete offering. From usual ones like Crab, Squid, prawn, various type of fish, lobster to less usual menu like fresh oyster, bamboo clam and kol nenek.
We order for 11 person:
Crab saus padang 8/10 Crab saus tiram 9/10 Ikan kuwe bakar 7/10 Ikan kerapu tim - not tasting Cumi bakar 7/10 Fresh oyster 7/10 Bamboo clam saus tauco 8/10 Kangkung terasi 6/10 Kangkung seafood hotplate 7/10
The main star is the crab. They are still alive so ver fresh, full of meat and sweet. Both saus padang and saus tiram are great but I give higher score to saus tiram, which they cook with white egg (like Jumbo singapore crab). Just delicious.
The other star is Bamboo clam saus tauco. The sauce is Sweet and spicy, blend nicely with white rice. The clam is fresh and succulent.
A bit let down is fresh oyster. Dont expect the quality like in Ritz Carlton or Grand Hyatt. They are a bit dry and not as fresh. Well if you really crave raw osyter without 5star hotel budget, then you can try this. Otherwise just stick with other offering.
The other food is decent. Not extraordinary...but not bad either.
The interior is OK. Spartan, with AC, wooden chair. Whats important the smoke from the grill is not entering the dining room. There is non AC smoking room...
Read moreThis restaurant is quite spacious, although only one floor but can accommodate many visitors. The restaurant area is divided into two, smoking and non-smoking areas. Our order was crab in Padang sauce and oyster sauce, bamboo clams in oyster sauce, stir-fried genjer, and grilled kwee fish. We recommend the Ikan Bakar Kwee, the meat is quite thick and tastes great. Likewise, Crab Sauce Padang, tastes good, not too spicy and has a sweet and sour taste too. Unfortunately, for the Bamboo Clam dishes in oyster sauce and crab in oyster sauce, they are delicious but the oysters are tasteless. Another winner is the coconut block drink, the water is sweet and the meat is quite soft. So, for those in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, take the time to taste the seafood...
