Ra KOI Simatupang — Restaurant in Jakarta

The restaurant is hidden on the ground floor of an apartment (RA Resident).

They rent 2 story space, the ground floor for normal dine and the above (using staircase) is more like a bar. Should you have private function, you can book the whole second floor with a minimum purchase. They do have 3 TV sets and audio system on second floor. Oh yes, they also have small stage 200x200x20cm

It's a restaurant, of course we are want to know the food taste. :)

According to those who attended a small tester function, during the test was much better. I couldn't comment about it.

What I knew was:

Appetizer: pizza.. it was a thin pizza with some mushrooms, meat and vegi. It's nice.

Starter: mushroom soup taste fishy and the garlic bread that suppose to supplement the soup, I didn't smell & taste the garlic itself.

Baked potato: the potato were still (a bit) hard. Should they bake it a little longer I believe it should be perfect. And I didn't get some garnish to go with the baked potato.

Dori fish: quite good.

Beef meatball: it looks like the one sold by IKEA Alam Sutra. However, the meat itself still have it's own smell.

Chicken: the chicken meat was hard. :)

Dessert: they have fruits soup which is quite ok. And an eggs with caramel which is sweet. Both were ok.

Predict: it will be different cooking for a big group and small group. Overall, it's still edible. And don't trust my review, just come and try the...

Just tried the Spinach Ravioli, the white sauce was bland add some more garlic should be more powerful. The Ravioli (I believe that was frozen stuff) was overcooked. Tom Yum was very good, spicy sweet & sour nicely balanced. Portobelo Soup was perfectly done. Roasted Chicken was nicely marinated, juicy & tender. Mashed potatoe was good. Gravy need more seasoning & salad need some dropped...

Regularly visiting this place and constantly amazed with its quality of food and taste. The ambiance of the place also cozy.
