The first thing you have to do when you come here, is pick your own seafood. Whether you buy directly from the stall that will cook your seafood which cost more price but you don't have to be bothered if those you choose are in bad or good quality, or you can either buy from the wholesale wet market or the retail wet market. If you go there dress nicely, i don't recommend you to buy on your own.. it's muddy, slippery, dirty and you have to bargain. After you buy your seafood then you just need to choose which stall that will cook for you, and they charge you the cook fee per kg differently depends on which item. You can add vegetables dish too from the stall. After that..just walk inside until you step on a floating building and pick your own table and wait. You get a view if you come before dark. My personal experience was.. oh btw i chose the very first stall on the right hand side, a very friendly ibu..sorry i forgot the name of the stall. So i ordered black pepper crabs, the sauce was good. Fried battered calamari..i love it. But don't expect very high restaurant quality kind if you come here, because the seafood weren't really cleaned thoroughly...but my tummy was fine. honestly it is wayyy much more cheaper to eat seafood here than any other places i have been to, but hey....different value different quality. Also, even if they charge the cook fee per kg, you could always ask to just cook half of it and bring home the other half raw. They open until midnight, we went there like 11 pm, still lots of people. I will definitely come back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are 3 famous stall in here:
Daeng Kumis (which caused by Jokowi's visit)
Hj. Lela (because of nagita slavina vlog youtube) - Best for their Grilled Fish and Shrimp, I like it but it takes forever to cook and wait.
Putra Bone - my personal choice for seafood with sauces, vegetable menu is also delicious.
I did try all of them at multiple occasions.
From all the three beware of DAENG KUMIS, please ALWAYS double check the bill before payment (you can compare with their menu price book), it happened to me so many times and many reviewers also experienced the same thing. They often dishonest and force you to pay at the restaurant (not at the dedicated management cashier, like others). Daeng Kumis also has the most "CALO" which will bluff that they're staff from the building management which is completely not True.
If you come here and someone offers you to look and show you around, don't agree and ask them to leave! There is many Calo here that come to you since you out from your vehicle, be careful.
Note that all prices stated for per Kilogram here, but you can ask for Half Kg...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like the food here but you need to choose your resto carefully based on your preference. You can get your own fresh assorted seafood from the market below the resto.
The service was okay but don't expect it to be a luxury service, lol. It's equal for the price I think. I can't say the price is cheap, it's just fine for what you'll get (again, choose your preference resto carefully) hehe.
The atmosphere is not really good to me, maybe bad for the others as you can smell fishy everywhere. Not that so clean but not that bad I can say.
After all, I can say that the food was excellent, the service was fine, but the atmosphere may not be suitable for everyone. And...
To be frank, I am not comfortable with the place, you'll also need to clean the table with your own wet tissue (i suggest you), the toilet is a nightmare (don't go there! Haha), they don't provide a proper handsoap, but the fresh seafood and how the cook it always take...
