Sop Buntut H Soedik — Restaurant in Jakarta

Forget the ambience, I'm here for the food. This place serves the best food of its kind and I would not mind coming back here often even though it is it is a lil pricey. The soup is to die for...even expensive high end hotel restaurant cannot beat these flavors. They have 2 types of meat: oxtail or ribs and each with choice of fried, grilled or boiled together in the soup! The grilled one is my favorite! Ambience wise even though its indoor and has AC it's a little dark and the mosquitoes will kill you😅So please wear long pants if you were to come visit...

Accidentally found this resto because it was located near Ibis Style Hotel Sunter. They charged a portion of sop iga for around 125K and I think it was pretty high compared to similar dishes around. Despite of the portion that was too small for such price, the meat was tender, juicy and well seasoned. Satay also very juicy and I thought they were meltique. Nothing wrong for the food, but if they adjust the price, I believe their resto will have more customers...

Coba makan di restonya langsung setelah sebelumnya sempat dibelikan take away oleh istri.

Mengenai rasa, rasanya menurut saya cukup enak walaupun secara porsi kurang; 125rb++ untuk 2 potong buntut belum termasuk nasi putih (10rb++). Rasanya cocok untuk penikmat sop buntut yang tidak terlalu medok, beda dengan style milik Dapur Dahapati di Bandung. Kuahnya juga cenderung lebih bening, tidak terlalu kental. Buntutnya bisa standard dalam kuah, goreng, atau dibakar; walaupun saya tidak merasakan perbedaan rasa yang digoreng dan yang dibakar (saya order bakar, istri & anak order goreng). Saya order es jeruk nipis untuk minumnya. Segar, cocok untuk siang hari saat terik2nya.

Pelayanan dari staff cukup baik, walau tidak bisa dibilang luar biasa. But no complaints so OK lah.

The only down side was posisi duduk, kursinya cukup sempit dan kurang panjang untuk saya yang tingginya sekitar 174 cm. Paha saya agak menggantung walaupun duduknya sudah mentok ke sandaran. Ini membuat agak kurang nyaman. Kami duduk di lantai dasar.

All & all, was a good experience. Yang pasti istri suka jadi kemungkinan besar akan ke sana lagi.

Kami bertiga menghabiskan 484 ribu rupiah termasuk pajak untuk 3 porsi sop buntut (goreng & bakar), 3 nasi putih, dan 3 minuman.

Oh ya, di sini hanya menerima pembayaran tunai...
