Starbucks Drive Thru Hayam Wuruk — Restaurant in Jakarta

my 2nd most visited store of Starbucks' chain. located close to Central Harmoni busway station, sometimes made a stop here to grab early breakfast before morning jog at CFD route or an afternoon break to have chit and chat with friend which office in proximity.

forgot to post photos of the place when reviewing this place last time... but for now it's kind of full house so harder to capture photo without the visitors in the frame. oh another thing with this outlet is they already open the 2nd floor which is an open space for smoking area facing the main road.

for those who hasn't aware, they are only 2 (two) shared toilet/sink on 1st floor, so there's always a short queue during crowd/peak hours (usually, after office hours/evening).

Google only listed this place's name as Starbucks Coffee but it's full/actual name should be Starbucks Hayam Wuruk Drive Thru (DT), and located in proximity to Harmoni Central Busway (HCB) and yes, they open 24 hours so you can get late night 'snacks' and coffee or even at dawn like myself before a long walk on...

Wonderful place usually get my drive through here too! But yesterday afternoon wasnt too good.

It was my birthday and i had a birthday reward and other rewards i can claim, so i drove with my brother to get some drinks. First problem was, my brother insisted he wanted to pay for the drinks after i told the lady id pay with member because they were rewards, but the lady said i cant change the type of payment once i have stated which type to pay.

That part wasnt an issue, but her tone of voice wasnt nice. She said it something along the way like ‘.. kalau sdh pilih tidak bisa diganti2 lagi’ then she did the transaction with my member right away without asking about rewards. No birthday cakes either. After I asked about the reward all she had to say was ‘card and bill has been transacted, you can still claim you reward next time’

Not single one word of Apology. Thats the main problem. Rude.

Mind you there werent any car before me or behind me when this happened.

Everything was A-OK. The drink order came out decent, but a small incident left a bad taste in my mouth. Ordered a pastry with a sign that says "buy 1 get 1" on it, I could hear the young woman behind the counter asked her manager about the promo so I went on with payment at the cashier. At pickup point, I received only one. I went back to the woman behind the counter to inquire the whereabouts of the other pastry item. Instead of offering an explanation, she immediately called out to her manager again. To his credit, he did give me the option of either having the other one right then or to go. But again, no explanation was offered about what had transpired. Look, I get it. It's a small amount, and things happen in such an environment. I would've accepted it right away had they told me that the promo had already ended and they forgot to remove the sign, or if they simply forgot to update the system or whatever. Any sort of explanation would have been better than the staff just standing there, secretly glancing at each other and...
