Steak On Top, located in Kelapa Gading, offers a cozy dining experience with a modern and welcoming ambiance. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating options, catering to various preferences. The menu features a variety of steak options, including Australian ribeye, tenderloin, and sirloin, all grilled to perfection and served on hot stones. We ordered the Australian tenderloin set menu. The meat was juicy on the inside, served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Combined with mushroom sauce, it was a perfect combo. 👍 The French fries were crispy, nicely tossed with salt and pepper. As for the chicken pesto pasta, the pasta was slightly overcooked, the pesto sauce was decent. The mac and cheese was undewhelming, looked too pale. We also received bubur ketan hitam for takjil, but unfortunately, it tasted sour, so we couldn’t eat it. It would be better for the restaurant to serve the coconut milk separately to prevent it from spoiling too quickly. They operates daily from 11:00 AM, with the last order at 9:00 PM, making it a convenient spot for lunch or dinner. The attentive and friendly staff further enhance the dining experience, ensuring guests feel welcome and satisfied.

Read moreWas looking for steak restaurant around Kelapa Gading area and so happy we've found this hidden gem ! I would like to keep it that way, but sharing is caring. So here goes.
We ordered the Steak On, Ribeye, Caesar Salad, and the December Promo waffle with fried chicken.
Basically all the food was great ! Would definitely come back here again. However all the steak was served on hotplate and when they served it, it was raining oil on my jeans (RIP favorite massimo dutti jeans :/). I am not hating the all served in the hot plate kind of thing as i am also used to it but i think customer should be given choice whether they want it "grilled" at the back counter or served immediately. If served immediately, at least we should have been given wide napkins or don't place the hotplate near the very end of the table.
In my opinion also the ribeye steak is better than the Steak On and cheaper too. But that's personal taste and one for you to find out yourselves.
The place was small and charming that it would be okay to bring your casual business dinner to here or to celebrate family special occassion.
All in all, we were surprised to find this restaurant in Kelapa Gading. It was not in the main boulevard road. But surely worth the try.
I will try their fish and chips next. Can't...
Read moreMy visit to this place was bad from start to finish. First, I came only to order a takeaway (because, hello pandemic, I didn't want to get covid!). The moment the door opened, WOW SO CROWDED! This was when we were still in PPKM level 3, when dining in had just been allowed with 50% limit of visitors. From what I saw, there were definitely more than 50% of tables occupied. Ok, fine. I thought I wouldn't be there long. So I quickly ordered my takeaway (beef steak, salmon steak, chicken steak, and spaghetti alfredo). For the duration I was there, the place seemed to get more crowded. With patrons consisted also of elderly people and toddlers. I'd been waiting for 40 minutes, when suddenly a family that had gotten in far later than me, got their food delivered. They were skipping my orders! I went to the waitress to complain, she said, "yes, okay. Be patient." When they finally finished my order, it was almost 1 hour since my arrival. That wasn't all, though. I went home (that was very near, only 5 minutes of riding my bike), and found that the steaks are all COLD. The only thing warm was the spaghetti. Come on! I'd ordered takeaway steaks from various restaurants before and NONE OF THEM had arrived cold! I swear that's definitely the last time I order...
