I was first introduce to this restaurant by my co worker at my ex office. My office was close to their restaurant. Sometimes we eat out but sometimes bring their food and we eat in our office. We need to come earlier if we want to have a good seat because everybody comes here for lunch. If you come at 12:00 o clock probably they will have their bussy time. But do not worry, patient is always have a price. If we wait for a while they will be a seat for us. They always served a good warm chicken pecak betawi food with a good price. they also have other menu like Betawi sour soup, fish pecak and unique beverage like lemon grass tea. I like the view at the upstair room than in the first floor. But in the first floor we can see how your lunch made from the window, that also interesting part while eating here. If you bring your family to eat here, you can park your car at Ragunan zoo car park. Jakarta Selatan, dan juga pinggirannya, masih banyak Rumah Makan Betawi (RMB) yang bisa dicoba. Di Ragunan, RMB H. Apen ini salah satu yang banyak dikunjungi.

Untuk kelengkapan menu, RMB H. Apen masih tergolong tidak lengkap. Mereka hanya menyajikan menu yang dianggap populer. Sementara sajian seperti Gabus Pucung, Sayur Besan, dll., tidak ada di tempat ini.

Karena tidak semua RMB menyajikan menu yang sama, untuk menilai kualitas sajian RMB biasanya bertumpu pada menu Pecak Gurame. Bisa dikatakan, RMB tanpa Pecak Gurame tidak sah utk disebut RMB.

Pecak Gurame RMB H. Apen salah satu yang terbaik, selain di situ babakan. Kuahnya pedas dan asam yang berpadu memberikan sensasi kesegaran. Guramenya digoreng agak kering sehingga menjadi empuk karena terendam kuah. Kabar baik utk konsumen yg alergi kacang, pecak gurame mereka tidak menggunakan kacang.

Tempe gorengnya dipotong berukuran besar. Satu porsi cukup untuk 2-3 orang, kecuali Anda memang kalap jika melihat tempe.

Untuk harga, dibanding RMB lain, tempat ini cukup bersaing.

Sayangnya, dan ini nyaris ditemukan di berbagai RMB, tempat ini juga kurang terjaga kebersihan tempatnya, meski tidak separah di tempat lain. Jika Anda belum pernah ke RMB, mungkin tempat ini masih Anda anggap kurang bersih.
