Michael Board, the famous freediver, recommended this place as the venue for our wave 4 dinner during deepweek with the also very famous freediver Adam Stern. Pablo Escobas who is by no means famous and not to be confused with the infamous Colombian Escobar, said he didn’t like the fish tacos even though Escobar is said to like fish tacos, but then I tried them and loved the nuanced flavor of the Indonesian ocean fish they put into them. I had the potato fries along with my fish tacos but then Wayan said it is customary to drink bin tang beer with them, but then Rosa who is Pedro’s cousin twice removed, said that Pedro only drinks sodas with his meals so I was aghast at any hint of a proper suggestion. I did have the beer and it had a zesty zing to it. I decided to write this very very very short review given that I am very very prone to over writing and embellishing or non-combobulating essays somewhat through improper semantics so the point of this exercise is to present you with an uneducated opinion through anecdotal information and thus showing Pedro’s poor taste in fine dining experiences, Pablo’s non-relation to Pedro and Rosa’s confusing intervention, all encapsuled in of world renown said place being...
Read moreFrom first night in Bali ever. Food is way beyond average for Amed, staff has bad attitude and gave wrong orders.
Drinks we asked for a mango juice and they gave us mixed juice. When we told them the order is wrong RIGHT AWAY, staff looked annoyed, told us we ordered mixed juice, and was very reluctant to take it back. They eventually did when we insisted.
We ordered chicken satay, the amount of chicken was half of what we get from other restaurants in Amed, it was also cold and hardened.
We ordered jamela fish steak, we asked about the portion prior, they said it would be 200g and it came as way less than that, about 100g only. for this dish we especially asked for no fries, no salad, we wanted stir fry vegetables. HOWEVER it came with fries and and gave us a full serving salad. Salad taste was ok not bad.
We considered sitting at the beach area but the sand bags were pretty stained and dirty looking.
If you read till this far, Amed has good tasting food in generally, and amazing food at some spots. This is neither, but overpriced. We paid 335k...
Read moreWe came there with friends when there were only 4 of us, early in the morning. The waiters were not friendly at all, acting like we entered the private property or something like this. The food was below average and overpriced, the waitress also were mad at us that were brought some send from the beach on ur feet and they had to mop the floor (that’s ridiculous cause it’s the beach cafe! There’s sand everywhere). But while we were sitting and talking one of the waiters ran to us and started shouting and showing someone else’s bad review and rudely demanded to delete this review that we saw for the first time! He came to each of us shaking his phone in front of our faces asking “is it you? is it you?” That’s insane, we’ve never had a situation like this before. Later he said that he’s sorry and they had a customer yesterday who may wrote this review, but still it’s totally inappropriate way to treat your customers!!! The service is terrible, the way they reply here in google maps reviews is inappropriate too. I wish that nobody...
