We pass this restaurant everyday, usually more than once coming and going from Meditasi, where we stay. It looks inviting with the bamboo interior, thatched roofing and subtle lighting, with glimpses of the water.
I read many positive reviews and thought that we need to drop-in for dinner tonight.
On the first page of the menu, it tells us that they specialise in locally caught seafood, ✅, their recipes are passed down through generations, ✅, they make their own chicken stock and they do not include MSG, ✅, their salads are washed in filtered water, ✅, they reduce plastic waste by refilling water bottles, ✅ and they cook with love ✅. If that’s not enough, there aren’t any additional charges, a tip if you want, to be shared amongst their staff. ✅✅

Read moreWe stayed at the Puri Wirata resort for a week, & sampled 5 of the nearby restaurants. We found the di Lipah Warung to be the best by far if you're a fan of local Balinese quisine.
Although they didnt have a huge selection compared to the other restaurants, the Balinese dishes (& we sampled quite a few) were definitely tastier & more authentic, and the portions were quite reasonable. We found the "local" dishes in other restaurants to be too westernised. And if you're a fan of hot & spicy, be sure to check out their homemade sambal.
The staff were friendly. The Di Lipah also included the sales tax in their prices, and tips were optional. So there were no hidden surcharges when we got the bill.
All in all we can highly recommend the di Lipah Warung. Try it out...
