We had such a wonderful time at Warung Ole’s cooking class with Iluh! From the moment we arrived, she was warm, cheerful, and very welcoming — especially to our little girl, making a special effort to include her and ensure she felt part of the experience. Iluh’s passion for cooking shines through in her class. She brings so much joy and energy to the experience, and even treated us to her beautiful singing voice as we cooked. We learned how to make spring rolls, fried bananas and a vegetarian nasi campur, a traditional Indonesian dish made up of many different components — in our case: sweet tempeh, eggplant, snake beans, sambal, satay tempeh, and pekerdel corn — each prepared from scratch. It was a lengthy process that gave us a whole new appreciation for the time, care, and skill required to create this kind of meal. The end result was absolutely delicious, and we had plenty of leftovers, which Iluh thoughtfully wrapped in banana leaves — a simple but meaningful gesture that reflected the care she puts in everything. It was a very fun and informative experience we’d happily recommend to anyone visiting Amed. We can’t wait to cook those dishes at home! Thank...
Read moreWarung Ole has truly become one of our all-time favorite places to eat in Bali. My husband actually introduced me to this gem, he had already been coming here regularly, and since our first visit together back in 2022, I immediately fell in love with the food. We’ve visited nearly 10 times now, and every single experience has been consistently amazing. The quality of the food never changes it’s always delicious, fresh, and cooked with love. We always order the same dishes: Grilled Fish of the Day with sambal matah, and the grilled prawns with garlic butter sauce. They’re so good, we’ve never even felt the need to try something else!
The atmosphere is warm and humble, and what makes it even more special is the owner, Ibu Niluh, who is incredibly kind and welcoming. She always treats us like family and even gives us complimentary fried bananas, a sweet gesture that we truly appreciate.
Every time we eat here, it feels like enjoying a home-cooked meal made by someone who truly cares. We’ll keep coming back again and again. Highly...
Read moreWe ordered a grilled fish that smelled really bad. We complained, and the manager came over just to tell us it was "normal, it's just the smell of the fish." (Of course, it wasn’t the normal smell of fish — it really stank.) For the second dish we ordered, it was supposed to be a seafood dish, but they brought us chicken instead. When we complained, she said, "Oh sorry, I made a mistake." We thought, no problem, we'll eat anyway. After not liking the first dish, we wanted to switch to the seafood dish we originally ordered — but surprise: it turned out they didn’t even have that dish available. So clearly, it wasn’t just a mistake like they claimed. Honestly, I found this very dishonest. Also, they still charged us for the rotten fish we didn’t even eat. They seem to see tourists just as walking wallets. As for hygiene, it was very poor, with dogs roaming around the inside of the restaurant. However, the two young girls working there were very kind but not...
