experience didn’t match the very postive reviews I read before. the staff was very competent and friendly but the food itself was subpar. the beef lasagna was good but not great; very cheesy but didn’t really taste like traditional lasagna. the zaitun rendang is veg (eggplant) based, not beef, which is fine bc they told us this ahead of timer but did say it had that rendang spice/sauce. it was laughably not, was just sautéed eggplant without much taste. tabbouleh salad was basically cucumber and Tomato salad, pretty light on mint and parsley. it was good but it’s not tabbouleh. deviled eggs were fine but again, don’t taste like what you’re expecting. lemonade was very good. best item was the friend tofu that was a side dish. interior is nice, they also have outdoor seating. limited bike parking, not much space for cars. it’s fine but with so many other options in the area and the very favorable previous reviews, was a bit...
Read more++ Very inviting place. Most professional service I experienced in Bali. English of staff is excellent. Spanish wine both white and red excellent. Vegan rendang very interesting and good. Mushroom croquette very good. I appreciate that the owner of the restaurant (my guess that he is) is standing outside with the waiters greeting guests They are being nice and friendly, not pushy. Lovely vibe of the place. No fake tourist fees. Tips appreciated.
-- Fried rice was fresh but lacked spices.
The owner went in and spoke to some tables, some not. My suggestion is to pay equal attention to all tables and all guests, not just Spanish speaking ones. He eventually made it to our table, but my husband got a bit offended, that he only asked me about the food, and didnt pay any attention to him.
Not possible to pay with the card.

Read moreGreat little Mediterranean restaurant on the main street in Amed. We had walked to another spot in town but the power was out. On our way back we checked out the menu, and it enticed us to stop for lunch. We were both craving fresh vegetables as salads and such aren’t offered everywhere in Indonesia. We had a Bintang and ordered. We chose the mixed salad to share, then pumpkin soup and 3 pork goyzas for my husband, I chose the grilled mahi-mahi with mashed potatoes and a salad. The mixed salad actually arrived first, which was great. Course timing doesn’t seem to be a thing here. Then our meals arrived. The pumpkin soup was great and the homemade goyzas were some of the best we have has. The mahi-mahi dish was very tasty although the fish, which was thin, was cooked longer a bit longer than we prefer it to be. Overall this place is a hit, and very...
