Sidemen the garden — Restaurant in Kecamatan Sidemen

Could be great but please turn off the music! The food was very tasty and the servers were friendly and quick. I was really enjoying a nice peaceful lunch looking at the beautiful views - until around 3pm they started blasting out loud music (Western commercial hiphop/pop). Unfortunately that ruined it for me. My friendly advice to the owners/staff is to turn off the music. Some people might like it but I'd guess that for every one customer that likes it there will be at least two who hate it (but are too polite to say so!). Tourists generally come to Sidemen for peace and quiet, to escape from the madness in other parts of the island. If they wanted loud music, there are plenty of other places in Bali they could go. Everyone goes to the Warung below which looks more local but I originally went down there for the view. When I went down, it’s too much on ground level it didn’t have the views of the rice paddies so I went to this one, on the main road, more modern, and completely empty. El restaurante tiene un estilo moderno acogedor, de primera impresión muy bien. Al entrar en detalles podemos decir que no son especialistas en el tipo de comida que desean vender. Clásico restaurante indones que quiere realizar platos para turistas europeos. Los precios son acordes ya que no es muy caro, pero la calidad de los productos no es buena. Hemos pedido unos spring rolls como entrante, se notaba que eran caseros, hechos por ellos mismos. Pero el relleno nos hizo dudar mucho ya que sabían a pescado pero no vimos pescado dentro. No sabemos si fue que lo cocinaron donde cocinan el pescado o si utilizaron algún instrumento de cocina que previamente estuvo en contacto con pescado. Eso ya nos generó nuestras dudas. Para seguir pedimos un chicken curry y ha dejado mucho que desear, no tenía buen aspecto y de sabor era muy neutro. Dejando de lado los fuertes gustos del curry o de la leche de coco. También pedimos una crispy burger que si bien no estaba mal, es un plato bastante pobre de cantidad.

Por parte de las bebidas, sugiero aclarar el hecho de que los jugos naturales los preparan con mucho azúcar, por lo que si eres un poco reacio al azúcar, pide que no le pongan.

En resumen: los precios son bastante acordes con la calidad de lo que venden. La atención es buena y servicial, con ánimo y ganas de que te sientes a comer en su lugar. Pero la cocina no es la mejor y genera...
