Probably the best place to eat in Sidemen if you're looking for something a bit more budget. It's a basic family warung but the owners make a really great job running it! Everything's very clean, the owners are friendly and helpful (they help you with anything you want - scooter rental, taxi and their rice fields trekking), the food is fresh, good looking and perfect tasting. We definitely recommend you trying Sate Lilit Ayam which is a bit different from the Sate you've probably had, the meat is minced and they also use different spices - this version of Sate is more traditional in Bali. Also the Young Papaya Chicken Curry tasted great, even though a bit more salt or the curry paste wouldn't hurt it. Their prices are very fair, 25-37k per meal, 20k...

He and his wife prepared all the fresh ingredients for 5 wonderful dishes: Mie goreng, chicken satay, chicken cooked in leaves, balinese curry and dadar gulung (pandan crepes with palmsugar) for dessert. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cooking class prepared by kind people with local...
Read moreDon’t trust the positive reviews and don’t believe the pictures either. The “kitchen” is located in a tiny dirty shop across the street. My curry was served with a large, dead fly in the broth. “Friendly” owners are charging prices 200%+ higher than what a comparable warung charges in Ubud, for worse tasting food. Portions are also small. Witnessed a woman have explosive diarrhoea in the bathroom immediately after she finished her fried rice. I didn’t get sick, but I also didn’t finish the food I ordered. Tourist trap. Worst in Sidemen, and one of the worst in...
