Hai Pin Chinese Resto — Restaurant in Kelapa Dua

When we thought waiting for food for 1 hour is the worst part of today experience.

We went there during lunch today - sat at table 711. As the headline sum up we had a very disapointing experience.

Started off with an unprofessional communication from the customer service when we called in hope trying to reserve the table (which will link to another point of the story). Secondly, they asked us to clean up the baby chair by ourselves when we asked for one (didnt understand why). But the highlight of our experience started when we need to wait for -/+ 1 hour late for our food.. at first we were OK to wait until we realize the table besides us who come later than us had all the food ready sooner than us significantly. The waiting game was one thing - but when i reached out to the waiter the reason of the delay was 1/ they forgot to put our food into the system 2/ the waiter explained that the other table is priortized as it was a VIP guest where they already reserve and all.

Definitely VIP guest often got the specific privilege but hearing that from the waiter himself and accepting the fact that in our case it was at the expense of our food was really disappointing. Its somehow reflect how you value their your consumer.

Saw multiple of service improvement points throughout this google review thread. I hope Haipin value their consumers more in the future. today definitely will be our last visit to the...

Great Food with Bad Service. We actually enjoy the food at this place however the service is really bad and disappointing.

First of all, when we enter, no staff to greet us and i have to ask which table we can sit in and one of the staff behind the bar/ counter just pointing the finger on where we can sit in.

Secondly, we are waiting quiet a bit for them to hand us the menu book and we have to ask several times for it.

We ordered the steamed mantao yet we got the fried ones, and when we asked for an exchange, the staff asked us to order a new one instead of changing it into the right food order.

and after all of the foods are served, we don’t have any sharing plates, spoons and we have to wait again for a while to get them and ask several times for the basic cutleries (in this case spoon, and sharing plates and bowls), because we ordered tom yum and its only right to give us small sharing bowls since it is a chinese restaurant and a family style serving dishes.

It is really unfortunate to have a great food with a really bad service, hope they can really improve...

Terlihat dari luar selalu ramai weekday apalagi weekend.. So, markicob!! Baru buka agustus 2022 lalu, katanya menu favorite semua tamu adalah chili 🦀crab.. Kedua adalah ikan steam (kerapu macan hidup)..

Karena pertama x dan resto baru, jadi kita cobain dulu menu fav kedua dan makanan lainnya yang keliatannya menggugah selera 🤤 kalau ini lolos enak, jadi gak berasa beli crab-nya zonk, karena crab-nya rata" Size jumbo.. 8ons-1 kg lbh.. Market price ya harganya. Saat saya dtg 52rb/ons yang 8ons..

Menu yang kami pesan:: Capcay curry (💸IDR 38K ⭐9, 5/10) Beyond expectation 😍 NIKMAT banget,, wajib makannya hangat + nasi panas, aduk 🤤 Rasanya bukan authentic curry jepang y 🍛, wangi rempahnya strong, kuahnya dari susu, rasa curry YES, tp makin dimakan after ketemu sedikit sensasi gulai nasi padang.. Bikin nagih deh!

Salted egg squid (💸68K-300 gram; ⭐8/10) Lapisan luarnya garingggg banget, rasa telur asinnya jg berasa di lapisan luar. Garingnya jg tahan lama loh 1 jam msh renyah. IMO ya, Squid d dalamnya rasanya lebih seperti sotong/cumi besar yg dipotong. Gk keras kenyal gampang digigit, kl utk anak saya dia skip cumi ini 🙏

Udang Kam heong (💸 88K - 250 gram; ⭐9,5/10) Ini enak banget, pecinta rasa pedas wajib coba! Mirip dengan bumbu kepiting asap yg biasanya ada di resto lain, tapi ini lebih pedas dan lebih gurih, ebinya terasa.. Enak, bs nambah nasi putih trs 😛 Paling penting udang di dalamnya tu, manis udangnya bnr" Ada, kerasa banget udangnya FRESH.. Gk overcooked juga. Like it

Ikan steam tiocio (💸38K per ons; ⭐9,3/10) Ikannya pakai kerapu macan. Kulit ikannya tipis dan tidak amis. Tingkat kematangan daging ikan sangat sangat Pas. Legit!!! Kuahnya asam" Nyes, seger banget ni kuah. Dikasih banyak jg kuahnya. Ada tahu dan sayur hamchoi juga ya. Cocok untuk anak" Nih.. Kami beli 7 ons cocok utk 3-4 orang.

Sapo tahu (💸48K; ⭐9,8/10) Skill-nya TOP.. Goreng sapo tahu-nya sempurna.. Kulit luar sempurna, dalamnya lembut jiggle" . Kuahnya sih GAK ADA OBAT, makan selagi hangat enak bgt. Seafood-nya fresh dan kotoran udangnya dibersihkan. Jamurnya IMO agak tebal dan kelembekan.

Kalau diukur dari segi kualitas, harga-nya worth it. Malah trmasuk tidak mahal utk kualitas sperti itu.. Good job HAIPIN, you're my number 1 Chinese restaurant at Gading serpong 😘😘
