UNION Summarecon Mall Serpong — Restaurant in Kelapa Dua

Kinda of disappointed of this union branch have to be honest.

Me and my mom dine on her birthday. After we got seated, i ask the staff at the bakery station (secretly) for a cake & to put candles(that i brought myself).

They told me i can even put writings on it, and so i did. With a request to be served in the end of my meals, they told me to ask for the server if im ready for it.

Fast forward, it's already so hard to get the serves to notice us, i've been raising and waiving my hand from time to time.

After we ordered our meals, the servers kept bringing us the wrong dish. Twice i have to reconfirm them and they all were like "wait are you sure?" "Oh wait- wait" ...

The one that kind of pisses me off, suddenly the staff from the bakery section dropped off the cake i ordered. Without writings nor the candles i gave. She told me the name of the cake and left.

I was already in a bad mood that i couldn't gave my mom a little surprise, so i went back to the baker station and asked my candles back. The staff i've been talking to was also surprised and apologized for it. But again the whole experience already turned me off.

In the end overall the foods are good, union standards 👌🏼.

Also ordered The watermelon gin&T cocktail, i can tell the watermelon garnish is an overdue batch (kind of sour and had that fridge aroma & smells). So a big NO.👎🏼

P.s: on my way back i can see that they already prepared my cake request sitting on the display .. lack of communication between the staff i guessed 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for Union PR representative(Mr. Mala A.) for reaching me in a fast manner. It is unfortunate for what happened but again appreciative for the thoughtful response by sending my mom a gift. I probably still won't dine in this branch but surely will still visit other union...

Well I should say the best Union Outlet of all others cause the place have way wider space to walk unlike the other Union Outlet not to mentions but the concept are not quite more different than the other.

The Service, again Union Group have their own specialty for service, a bit of a compares, Union SMS needs to be more active on looking for the surroundings customers around the table and sofa or even the outside area, I was about to ask for more drinks and bites, and looking around there are not really a single server around us, so I did raise my hand but yet there are no one looking or give responses, not a big deal but yea maybe it because the place are note really that crowded so maybe they minimize the staff incharge or having a break time.

The F&B, well again it's Union Group, there are no doubt about the F&B, starting from the Cocktail, Desserts, Main Course, or even the other Foodies and Drinkies. The Bartender are quite good on making drinks also support by a good house pouring. I was expecting more of a good drinks with a sweet n sour taste from the base spirits of Gin but it gets out with just a Gimlet, not disappointed but i know they can do it even better than just a Gimlet's.

The Vibes, not gonna lie the vibes here are way more interesting compare to the other Union Outlets, the music are really good and also match the vibes. Nothing more to mention about the atmosphere here, but yea, again this is the best Union so far, yet still the Top Notch is Roma or TCC, But Union SMS just brings back up the "Union"...

last night was my 2nd visit to Union sms hoping for a nice dinner with ambience and better experience than my 1st visit few months back when they first open.

Unfortunately, it gets worsen. and i don’t think i will come back for another dine-in at Union SMS, who needs to upgrade the service level very seriously. No napkins and proper cutlery provided even until food served on the table.When asked waiter only gave us 2 fork (for 2 of us) without napkins. Then i had to ask for spoon after our crispy pork arrived; they came gave us 1 spoon (without tissue:napkins underneath) which i used for serving spoon. Then I had to asked for 2 more spoon for us to eat our rice dish because i’m not used to eat by hands and this is not Padang resto which ppl expected to eat by hands ??? even in “Pagi Sore” they provide proper cutleries. I lost my patience when i had to asked for napkins and 2 spoon for our rice dish. Our waiter is busy entertaining the table next to us with toddler.

Another annoying remarks, while we are eating the receptionist came asking “which name this reservation booked under ?” … as if my time is ended and i have to leave the table?! Hey guys the resto is half empty!! and i havent even passed my 90 mins and i just got the spoon!, can i have dinner peacefully?

There are a lot of nice resto in sms. I came to Union last night hoping to get the same service and ambience with the one from PİM or PS. sorry guys!! not the same, although the decor and all already have...
