Read moreMy wife and I are visiting Bali for three weeks and found this fabulous new restaurant in Uluwatu. Beautifully designed with a great local vibe and high-quality ingredients. Delicious breakfasts. I have enjoyed their sumptuous breakfast burrito with chicken sausage but their French toast is the best I’ve ever had. Rich and robust Balinese coffee is the best in the Bukit and a great way to start the day. The tropic of tart smoothie bowl is gorgeous with dragon fruit purée, multi component granola, fresh mango and coconut shavings. Outstanding lunch and dinner items include a deeply marinated baked chicken breast, fresh mahi-mahi skewers, a hearty three bean chili with corn muffin and honey butter (super yum), delicious vegetarian or vegan lasagna and a huge variety of unique and beautiful organic salads and greens. Don’t forget dessert, especially the guava cheesecake. We came for dinner on a Friday night and there was live music with casual comfort. It is very reasonably priced and the delightful owners are engaged with their customers. We keep on coming back as it compares most favorably with many of the highly rated restaurants in the Bukit. A must do...
Read moreLooking for something different to eat on last day in Bali- we stopped by the Road Trip Eatery in Uluwatu. We found easy parking out from at this newly established eatery and a colorful and wide selection of entrees and sides. Owners Emily and Adam were super welcoming- offering up suggestions which led us to a big shared plate including the vegetable lasagna, which was top notch and flavorful sides including elote salad with jicama, sesame green beans, fresh mashed potatoes and corn muffin with honey butter. For dessert we shared the cheesecake- which had the consistency of a tiramisu and was delightful. I specifically avoid added and refined sugars. Wish it was not our last night in Bali or we would have liked to have stayed for free scribble night when they offer big pads and pencils for your drawing pleasure or return for game night. This family run business is clearly a passion project and definitely worth checking out when you are...
